I only watched the first video, due to your comment, to see if the hand and pistol graphics look dated. The pistol graphics look fine, but I'm with you on the hand. It doesn't look as good compared to the rest of the game. Not a big deal though, the rest of the game looks gorgeous.

Awesome!

I had to stop because I found that a couple videos were showing a little too much for me. I don't want to spoil this game at all.

This game has just moved from my 'must have' list to my 'must invent time travel and have it now' list.

This game looks like an exact cross of S.T.A.L.K.E.R. & Bioshock.

Better than Fallout -- this seems to live up to the spirit of Wasteland, the predecessor to Fallout. I loved the Fallout games, but always felt that they were missing some what made Wasteland great(technological advances notwithstanding). The more I see of Fallout 3, the more I think my 20 years of waiting for a genuine successor to Wasteland has finally come to fruition.

Fallout 3 = happiness.

The last video has somewhat of a spoiler in the end. Not that we didn't already know what was gonna happen, cause most previews told us already about the quest where you can blow up a whole town with a nuke.

Just saying if you wanted to actually see the explosion first hand in the game then don't watch the last trailer.

The game looks unreal though. I just can't wait to get my hands on it.

I'm still pretty meh about this game. I will admit it does look pretty though. Perhaps I need to play a demo of it in order to get excited about this game.

I doubt very much that there will be a demo... A demo probably wouldn't do a game like this justice.

Reminds me a bit of Half-Life 2 more than I expected, but I am totally looking forward to this one. The detail in the environments is incredible.

Oblivion with guns in the future. Sigh. Is this just me fearing change? Would I have loved Fallout 1 and 2 as much if they were done in this style? I don't know.

VATS looks cool though.

You didn't watch all the videos did you? If you're really hard up for playing it ala F1 & F2 you can play it in isometric mode.

Anyway ragging on Fallout 3 because of its new play style is like saying Ocarina of Time isn't a Zelda game because its 3D or Mario64 isn't Mario because it's 3rd person. It's a stupid argument.

I get where you're coming from, it's hard to say though. I know that I would, I had a hard time getting into the turn-based gameplay as I've found many turn based games to be a bit fustrating, especially more western style. Having a 70% in Melee and watching "miss" "miss" "miss" "miss" "hit - for 2 points of damage" still drives me nuts.

Wouldn't surprise me a bit if the PC version gets a homebrew Mod that gives the old-school mechanics back to the game.

It is made by Bethesda, same people that made Oblivion. But, the game play looks much different. It is a RPG that you can play 1st or 3rd person. Past that, I think you're just being closed minded too quick to judge

The animation looks awful and mechanical, and every encounter looks overly scripted. Would have hoped they'd spent time trying to make the experience seamless and immersive.

how could you even say that being seeing only a few fights ONCE? You can't really judge something as being scripted or not until you play it and the battles play out the exact same way each time. So tell me, from these few videos that are only a few minutes each and show very little of the game, how can you come to the conclusion that it's NOT seamless and immersive?

This game looks great. I can't wait. but how come there's almost no body language when people are talking to you? Maybe I've been playing too much Mass Effect.

I felt that the characters in Mass Effect were too animated. I think even my girlfriend made a comment on how weird it was. But I so also agree with you. A bit more body language would be good.

I hope this doesn't suffer from the KOTOR voice actor syndrome. I already recognized at least two voices from Oblivion, and so they seem out of place to me in this setting.

Yeah, I recognized the voices too, and it is a little weird. I kept thinking (while I watched it) that I was going to be asked to take out an Oblivion Gate or something (I say this jokingly, of course). But nonetheless, each game is its own unique thing, so I'm going to have to look at it that way.

I loved Oblivion, so I'm hoping Fallout 3 will please just as much!

Hahaha, that guy who wants you to explode Megaton is the same voice actor as Lucian LaChance! He's officially my new best friend when he game comes out. I can only hope he doesn't get himself skinned alive again, that sucked.

You either A) Didn't really play Fallout 1 and 2, otherwise you'd be able to see how faithful they are being to the series, or B) are purposely trolling to incite flames.

So which is it?

Will PC version also feature the dumb down UI for "classical controller"?

I'm kind of scared that the games comes on consoles too: question is what they have sacrificed in PC version to make F3 playable on consoles.

Is there any actual RPG game play videos? I went thru all of them - and all of them are plain FPS.

WTF!? Where is Fallout in this "Fallout 3" thingy?

All I see is dumb console shooter game.
