Hello! We've designed a FPS. As all FPSs, they look the same. We aren't very sure why americans love them, but they keep buying them. This isn't actual footage from the game we've designed, but footage from several other FPSs, but as you can see, you can't really tell, can you?

Your comment is so ignorant it's not even funny. I'm voting you down as hard as I can.

Me too, man... I'm pretty sure my brain turned to mush toward the end of that nonsensical shenanigans written above.

Excuse me while I pick up Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption...one of which is set in WWII, the other in a fictional alien universe...

...you know...TWO THINGS THAT LOOK NOTHING ALIKE!!!

Thats like saying every MMo is the same, even though they can have completely different storylines, be set in a different place, etc. I don't know if you could get more ignorant than to compare maplestory to world of warcraft, so why compare all fps to each other.

Yes, the only difference is that MMORPGs use different (and complex) systems, camera views, graphic styles, areas and plot lines; while FPS haven't improved one bit since half life. What the hell are you twats babbling about lol

They are exactly the same. The only difference now is that now they are 3D and all similar looking. Not even the weapons are too far off from each other.

Try to use your brains for once: they are called FIRST PERSON SHOOTERS! From the very beginning its boxing itself. Its just a game, in first person view, where you shoot at crap. They -don't- differ from that.

Uhhh.... he's right. This does look like every other generic, futuristic FPS out there. Well, with the exception of the first-wave PS2 graphics.

The Conduit looks better with every video High Voltage releases. They've clearly put tons of effort into making this one of most customizable games that the Wii has to offer. Changing your settings in real time is a pretty convenient way to test everything out without having to switch back and forth from menus. As a bonus, I'm glad we're seeing some new environments and human enemies in addition to the alien baddies we've already seen.

Its nice to see the change in environments, and the control scheme changes in real time make this game shape up to be a solid pleaser.

Will this game live to up the hype? Maybe. The developers seem keen and dedicated on only including content and modes that work solidly, instead of adding content just to statistics purposes.

I'll be very happy to purchase this game when it goes gold!

This is actually shaping out to be an amazing game, and although it is not very original, it will give another game for Wii owners to "must-have" own

The effort is appreciated

The big question is if all the effort pulls together to make a good, cohesive whole

Pure BS...you're thinking of the FPSes on PS3; now THEY'RE all the same. Why can't people in general give the Wii a freakin' break and admit its growing success, especially since it's getting an FPS that actually has good controls. You, a developer...? HA! Don't make me laugh!

What is a dead zone?

Curt:

The dead zone is a boxed area in which the screen doesn't move when you point within that area. For example, if you have no dead zone, whenever you move the crosshair, your screen moves accordingly. When you have a dead zone and move your crosshair up within the dead zone, your crosshair will move up from the center of the screen but your screen's orientation will not change. Computer FPS's have to my knowledge always had no dead zone simply because the mouse is very precise. The Wii remote pointer is fairly accurate and one's preference for a dead zone really relies on one's level of experience.

Man WiiFTW, I take my hat off your comment sir, well done, but still, kinda hard to understand for some people so 'll put it more simple

While crosshair on dead zone, camera won't move, when crosshair out of dead zone, camera will move.

Another one, while crosshair on dead zone, camera is death, when crosshair out of dead zone, camera is alive and can act

at this point, i just want to shoot shit. i've completely flipped my opinion and can no longer stand cod4 on xbox and that shitty-ass controller - i think nintendo has had the most comfortable controllers from the past two generation of consoles

this is definitely a day one purchase for me, simply to support third-party efforts

even more off-topic (the depth of the customization here is inarguably cool and welcomed in any fps), doesn't it annoy anyone seeing the metroid layout completely ripped-off? some of the enemies are metroid-inspired and that's cool but come on...

The 360 controller is actually pretty comfortable...I'd say its on par with the GCN controller.

i love the sound of an x360 owner praising the wii's controls rather than that big mash-up of all previous console controls.

it's satisfying.
good work :)

I am very impressed with the depth of control customization which is REALLY important.

online multiplayer is probably the only thing we havent seen yet.

I'm glad a third party developer is willing to put a little effort into a game. Hope it is everything they say it is on release.

yeah but i wonder how it'll work..?

there's other games out there that need it soo much more don't you think?
i mean.. FPSs don't really require MotionPlus unless there's some kinda gameplay that is out of the FP view. Right?

The sound effects sound like the ones from Jet Force Gemini. It's nice to see a third party really putting in some effort and not making a stupid kiddy game. Maybe, just maybe this will change the way other developers look at the Wii.

man im getting tier of all of this stupid 360 an ps3 fanboys hatting on the wii. and for all you stupid fanboys quick calling it a version of halo. because halo wasn't the fps. because if any thing esl hole is just another version of one of the first person shooters Doom. but see ya'll 360 fanboys dont won't to think about that. but seen a game that looks so good coming only for the Wii. they want to hate on it. cause their scare that if this game looks an plays as good as it look. that they would have to go and spend money on buying a Wii an game. and you no that 360 an ps3 owners. are going to try a put this game down so bad. when they hear wii owners having fun, playing an talking online. so i say heeerrss!!!! to us wii owners :-). so come on 09 lets get it poppin! :-).
