PAX 2008: Touring the Pink Godzilla booth
click to enter the store ... vicariously
Despite what you may think from the picture, it wasn't the tower of pink plushies that attracted us to the Pink Godzilla store booth. More so, it was that they have mint condition classic games (including the Earthbound and Chrono Trigger) and consoles like the 2nd Anniversary Xbox One from Japan. We're willing to bet that entire wall of games will be sold out by Sunday.

In picture 12 of the Godzilla booth there is a picture of Azel: Panzer Dragoon RPG. Impressive.

That is one big pile of useless crap.
I want some.

Spotted in photo 8/12, a loose Klepek, spotted in the wild. (or is that just some other afro-rockin', giant-camera slingin' PAX attendee?)

F this place. I've known a few people who have seen them shrink wrap some pretty rare used games and try and pass them off as brand new.

Brett,
Pink Godzilla here. Before you bad mouth a place, and spread inaccurate information, you might want to try and visit Pink Godzilla. We don't know who your so-called friends are, but they are misinformed.
Any new rare game that we have is wrapped in in a protective plastic bag so that we can place price and condition stickers on the item without fear of the stickers damaging the original shrink wrap which is quite delicate.
These games are marked with a neon orange sticker, two inches in diameter, that says "NEW."
The games that are originally packaged in cardboard boxes, that are somewhat valuable, we shrink wrap to protect the fragile cardboard packaging from getting damaged. If we get in a copy of Chrono Trigger in the box in 9.0 condition, we want to ensure that the game stays in that condition when it ultimately ends up in the home of a happy gamer. These games are marked "used."
To summarize, the new games are marked "NEW" with neon orange stickers that even a deer couldn't miss. The used games are marked "used." Pretty simple system, we think. We apologize for any confusion it might have created, but New means New and Used means Used at Pink Godzilla.
For the record, we are against the abhorrent practice of re-sealing games, which does happen quite frequently on eBay as we reported in this piece.

Get informed.
To everyone else...thanks for all the love. Pinky G loves to make gamers happy. That's the sole reason we exist.

I've been in there a few times. They've got some cool stuff, but you're going to pay for it. Sure you could get it at half the price on ebay, but if you can get over that... I bet their prices are even worse at PAX though, cons are not known for low markup.
Shooter @ Sep 11th 2008 3:39PM
Actually, Pink Godzilla never really marks stuff up for Cons, they usually sell things cheaper if anything, like dropping Pluahies and Dev Kits from $15 down to $10! :)

Gots my NES Metal Gear there.
