Penny Ar-cake makes Gabe cry, us drool
Click to giganticize
Penny Arcade's Mike/Gabe told us in an interview that he hates all cake coverage. The good news is, you can't hate our cake and eat it too. So, it's with love and appreciation that we present this glorious photo of a sweet-looking, sugary Penny Arcade cake, featuring deliciousness from the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness.Gabe, you might hate cake, but we think the masses would decimate this Penny Arcade pastry piece with vim and vigor. It was created by cakesmith Brian Kurtz, who is also available for weddings, bar mitzvahs, your LAN party, or "any other situation that calls for a bad-ass 3D cake that will make your guests crap their pants in disbelief." Stay tuned for our interview with Tycho and Gabe later this week.

So they'd eat 1/10th of it?

IB4 Cake is a lie!

Let it die.

No no no, keep it alive because this was a triumph. Hell, the game isn't even a year old. "All your base" jokes were going around for years.

I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS

It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.

Haha, I thought you meant Gabe Newell, and I thought, "Why would cake make Gabe Newell cry?"
Sokkratez @ Aug 30th 2008 8:39PM
That was my initial thought as well.
Gehodra @ Aug 30th 2008 8:23PM
The problem with cake like that is that I wouldn't know where the cake ended.
I would probably pick up the platter and try to take a big bite out of it.
Obie @ Aug 30th 2008 8:25PM
Alright, that cake was pretty cool, but don't make it a habit. We don't wanna become Kotaku, do we? ;)

The amount of detail is impressive, seriously looks at that, but I wonder how does it taste.
Cakes that look impressive are sometimes doomed by colorants and the excessive use of sugar.

Brian is the bro of PvP Online's Scott. And on his site he linked to a couple other cakes Brian's done:
