Do you feel confident in saying that you despise the chimera more than anyone else that you know? To be more specific, would you say you hate them twenty dollars more? You can prove your disdain for those yellow-eyed jerks by picking up the collector's edition for Resistance 2, recently unveiled by Amazon.com, which is quickly becoming one of the most comprehensive (if not somewhat unlikely) sources for video game news. Seriously. We're worried.
Included in the bundle (which, for the mathematically challenged, is currently priced at $79.99) is a behind-the-scenes making-of documentary, video commentary from the game's developers, a "Twisted History" chronology video, an exclusive multiplayer character skin, a double-sided art book, and a preview of the heretofore unannounced Gathering Storm novel, which is based on the game. There's also a five and a half inch tall Chimera Hybrid action figure which, due to your unreasonable chimeric hatred, you'll probably just end up microwaving in effigy.

I really wish more collectors editions would come in Steelbook cases. I'd be a lot more inclined to drop the extra $20 for that than I am for a couple videos that I'll watch once each, and an art book that I may or may not look at.

All this making-of/behind-the-scenes stuff should be on the blu-ray anyway, like Uncharted had.
Paying extra for this stuff is like paying for DVD extras, its ridiculous.

Damn. I think I might miss on Resistance 2. I'm getting SOCOM, LittleBigPlanet, and FIFA 09. Not to mention I'm too busy as it is already, I don't think I'll have time for Resistance 2... I'll see how it goes, but the Collectors Edition looks really sweet.

"an exclusive multiplayer character skin"
As in "a skin for a model" or as in "a model"?
The first is a nice addition but the second could give them a bit of backlash just like it happened with Gears of War 2 linked achievements...

The internet has basically ruined bonus features like this. You'll probably be able to find it all online the day the game comes out.

Rarely. The only stuff like that I have watched recently was for Uncharted. They had some cool videos for the cut scenes that showed a split screen op the cut scene with the actors actually acting it out. They were actually very interesting... of course, they were also free with the standard game.

Lets be honest here. This is a good deal especially compared to most limited editions. However, I only purchase a LE if it is one of my favorites like MGS 4. This is just a waste of $20.00 for me.

all limited edition are worthless. there really is no resale value for them and whats added to the original is worthless crap. people are stupid. people will buy anything. thats why the 360 was invented.
