No online? Forget this then I will stick with the gamecube version.

If it had had online I would have bought it.

Just bought it today and it's pretty fun. I needed a baseball game for Wii that wasn't from Wii Sports (and for my MLB tastes, I play MLB 07 The Show on PSP) and this one is awesome. I've done okay on rookie difficulty so far, so given a bit more play, I'll boost the difficulty.

Fielding controls are a little wonky at first (I keep pressing A to throw and then end up hop-hop-hopping repeatedly in the field), but I'll get used to it eventually. Hitting is fun as hell, though.

the utter complete lack of online killed this game and actually the gc game was way better.Even tho Mario strikers 2 has cheap tricks, Fifa 09 or Pro evo 2009 arent perfect ,those games have online, look better, play better and are more complex(and got good reviews). This game was awful when i got it, has no online, is easy and boring unless you can beg another sorry human to share your misery. So to say this game is among the best sports games for wii is to say that wii has no sport games.
