Bethesda radiates light on Fallout 3 DLC plans
On the scope of DLC, Hines told Shacknews: "We want stuff that's going to be several hours. Not just like a one-off thing, but something like where you can download it and play it for X number of hours," further clarifying plans by adding, "It'll be similar to what we did with Knights of the Nine in Oblivion, where it's like whole new quest lines, new stuff, that kind of thing."
As for a post-launch DLC roll-out time line, Hines was non-committal, saying only that "we already have folks starting to look into what [the DLC] might be."

I want a Dog Armor...
eldee @ Sep 2nd 2008 10:22PM
honestly that's not a bad idea.. in Fallout 1, I couldn't get Dogmeat through the master's tunnel without him dying as soon as i started the fight w/ the master. he kept taking damage from that neuro-field and the master has a tendency to target the lowest HP in your party for some reason..

Horse armor and the new strongholds were kinda useless but Nights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles were worth the money.
Hopefully Bethesda have learned their lessons from Oblivion

Oh, and two horse armor related jokes is enough. thx u

So are companies just shipping incomplete products now in order to get people to pay a second time for these great "new" quests, or is this really content that we would not have gotten otherwise? I have a feeling it's the former, and that annoys me.
Bennyishere @ Sep 3rd 2008 12:12AM
It's the latter.

M @ Sep 2nd 2008 9:24PM
hmmm, post apocalyptic nights of the nine... just think about that
Triple07 @ Sep 2nd 2008 9:59PM
Ok cool but what would be more interesting to me is if they asked what the hell is up with rogue warrior? I mean is it still a game or was it secretly caned?
Anyway I hope they add some new interesting quests with something new in it not like just ok here's another generic quest.

Need more MS points.

I am all for some meaty DLC. I like DLC that will add significant play value to a game, but I will most likely spend a lot of time with the core game before I would even think about extra content.
caserb @ Sep 2nd 2008 10:20PM
Yay I'm going to have to delete the Shivering Isles expansion and some xbox originals to fit the fallout 3 dlc! Go Microsoft's 20 Gig scheme! I can't wait to pay way too much for a 120 gig hard drive!
Noah Richardson @ Sep 2nd 2008 11:14PM
I hope they bring it to the PS3 as well.

Probably like in Oblivion - on GOTY/Deluxe edition on BR disc.
BigD145 @ Sep 2nd 2008 11:33PM
Oblivion user mods were far superior to pretty much everything Bethesda pushed out, except the craziness of Shivering Isles. I'll wait for the free mods. If inspired, I'll makes some myself.

I don't care what DLC I just wanna playing the freaking game already!
