Check your email: Home beta invites sent

You may have downloaded the PlayStation Home theme from the PSN Store thinking, "How can this possibly work? How will I know I've ... won?" The answer to that question arrived today for the Selected Ones, the latest batch of Home beta recruits who were informed via email that they'd won out over the presumably thousands of others who'd downloaded the theme. That's right: Sony knows where you live your email address.
Sony isn't saying how many invites are going out, but has confirmed that it's happening in waves over the next 24 hours, so keep checking your email if you haven't received one yet – you might still get lucky. We're told by Sony that another "beta wave" will hit in the next few weeks, so look for more news on that as we get it. Did you land an invite? Lets us know in comments, and have fun Home-ing.

I doubt he was actually selected. He's just setting it up so he can come on here and talk about how great it is because it has the word Sony on it, when he's never actually used it.
Of course, that may be a little too much foresight for someone like NRRFM, so maybe I'm wrong.

But I'd laugh if I do get in. I'm not on much, aside from buying RB DLC and downloading demos.

Dude, me too. Sony did give me a free cell phone to test some shit out that I completely forget about, but none the less I was expecting an invite. Still got that PS notebook thingy though!

Yay, I'm in! It's pretty cool so far. The customization needs more selections on creating your avatar, but not bad overall.

Second: I have yet to see a well done furry avatar in Second Life. I think it's better, overall, to the feel of the game if everyone uses pre-defined avatars.

You, like way too many, take this application way too seriously. You will be let down no matter if they let you in the beta or make you wait for the release. Your spirit should not be effected by such a trivial thing.

I have bought most PSN Titles (Everything but Cash Guns Chaos, Lemmings, Go! Puzzle/Sudoku, Elefunk, Fatal Inertia, Bionic Commando, 1942, Rampage, Rampart, Siren, Super Puzzle Fighter 2, Joust, Gauntlet 2, and WOTB), all Qore episodes, have been a GAP member since 2006, have been registered to the Underground since 2003, was in the Killzone: Liberation multiplayer add-on beta (Kicked ass!), and play online/message quite a bit...
Yet no invite for me. Not complaining, just showing you that it's probably still mostly random. I don't really care since the open beta is coming soonish, all I want for October is my LBP.

Obviously my underground status/gap status aren't that important in their selection process. Because I used to get picked for all kinds of stuff because of those.

I hope all of you guys at some point get this invitation, I was able to download it yesterday and I was really impressed with the simplicity and beauty of it. Arcade games, music, video, fun all in one place.
