Leipzig is just trying to ruin the fun for everyone. The BIU announced a long time ago (in February) that their next convention would be in Cologne, not Leipzig. And now Leipzig doesn't want to go down without putting up the fight. The thing is: No one is going to go to both conventions. So if we are only a little out of luck, we will end up with two crappy conventions except for one good one. If we are lucky, then the BIU will show some muscle, and Leipzig will stop it's bullshit.

GC in Cologne would be excellent. Not only are the halls much bigger, but Cologne is very ready to accept large amounts of people and still provide running transport. A good example would be World Youth Day, where over a million extra people where moving through the City.

I don't see ANY chance of succes for Leipzig.
Just take a look at the members of BIU:
Activision, Atari, Eidos, EA, Koch Media, Konami, Microsoft, Nintendo, Sony, Take 2, THQ, Ubisoft.
All of them will go to Cologne, so which other publisher could drag audience to Leipzig?
