Dissidia and Patapon 2 dated, new bundles announced

SCEJ just dropped a ton of information concerning several major PSP titles for the remainder of 2008. Three huge games are now officially slated for this holiday season in Japan, and two of them are certainly games you probably won't want to miss importing. Dissidia: Final Fantasy is now set for a December 18 release, while Patapon 2 Donchaka and Mobile Suit Gundam: Gundam vs. Gundam will both be out November 27 and 20, respectively.

All three games will be sold alongside bundled packs that include the new bright-screened PSP-3000. Patapon 2 Donchaka not only dons a new subtitle, but will also be available as a PS Store download for those who want to save a couple of bucks over the UMD version. This is a similar strategy as seen by Yuusha no Kuse ni Namaikida or2 and Bleach Soul Carnival. Tax-inclusive prices for games and bundles are after the break ... just in case you wanted to know how much money will be leaving your wallet this holiday season.

I would love to buy a Dissidia bundle but since it won't be released in North America, I won't. Speaking of North America, we still are waiting for an official word of when, or if, Dissidia is coming our way.

Wow, yeah, they're all priced pretty high--Patapon 2 is more than twice the price of the original. Most games in North America seem to be going for $20 - $40 these days. Are those typical Japanese prices?

Everything is more expensive over there. No shocker.

does anyone know if Dissidia is coming to canada?

You know its a gunblade, right?

Didn't help him in the opening ff8 movie.

The gunblade doesn't actually fire bullets anyway. An explosion just kind of jolts the blade to make it do extra damage. So says the Final Fantasy VIII Ultimania.

does this mean it's gonna be a limited edition patapon PSP? That would be very cool

aww man, dissidia is going to be pricy... i'm getting a ps3 in november, and i only have so much money to spend on new releases in the holiday season. will get that though with something else for ps3. if i work my money well enough, i might end up getting patapon 2 as well!

That means Patapon 2 could be released in NA sometime around January since the original was released last December in Japan and Febuary in NA.

And Dissidia will most likely be released next summer.

please add another article for gundam vs gundam with the trailer from qj or something like it. I really want to download it and put the trailer on my psp to show to my friends. Im a die hard gundam fan :( and this game is going to be the brawl for gundams :P

patapon comes out the day before my birthday! i would download it but no japanese skills. :(

2 days before my bday. and i unfortunately dont read Japanese either.

but depending on what the bundled PSP looks like, i may pick up the 3000/Patapon 2 bundle when it drops in the US. my launch PSP has served me well but its on its last legs. im certainly going to hold out on buying a Slim now since i know itll be obsolete in a couple months now.

I'd like to see the Dissidia bundle in North America. I'd buy it, since I don't have a PSP yet.

so is dissidia not coming to the US at all or just later in 2009 im assuming?

Where can i get those in Japan? Akhibara?
