Wow. We know we talked about it in our weekly new games post, but the fall is in full swing. We're featuring 17 big releases this month, and we didn't even have room for all of the ones we wanted to talk about. Is the first time we're going to go broke in September?
By the way, we're not complaining.

I loved the first Viva Pinata, and I will eventually pick the new one... but...
Is Party Animals a good game?
I saw the game in downtown at $15... should I pick it?

Rock Band 2. That's it for me this month unless I feel like picking up Dragon Quest, but I might be too busy.

Dragon Quest IV, Rock Band 2, Wario Land and Sonic Chronicles for me this month.
I was planning to buy the Star Wars game, but I didn't like the demo.
Maybe Legendary, depending on the reviews.

What didn't you like about the SW:FU demo? I definitely got a maniacal glee out of repeatedly punchfucking stormtroopers to death with giant crates and starship parts. I figure that if Dark Sector's glaive gimmick didn't get old, this "force" thing might just stay fun the whole game.
Of course, for that, I'll need documentation proving that George Lucas was "forced" to stay 500 feet away from this game throughout the entire development cycle.

It was fun, yes, but I have a feeling that is going to be very repetitive.
Don't get me wrong, is not a bad game, and probably will pick it, but not at $60 dlls. Maybe at $30.
But my gaming priorities for this month are two RPG's: Dragon Quest IV (I never played it before) and Sonic RPG.
And Wario Land looks simple amazing.

Fair enough, that's exactly how I feel about Wario Land. $30 is definitely the sweet spot for that one.

After looking at the gallery, I saw that Rock Band 2 is on there and it says it's coming out for "multi" platforms. I thought it was just coming out for the 360 this month, then the others next month.

What if I told you that I went as far as having it pre-ordered, but I cancelled it all when I've learned of DRM?
If anybody is the part of the problem, it's EA and their practices.

Hate to say I agree but yeah, I agree. I WAS hyped about Spore, bring it on, fuckers and all that. But then they announced the DRM. Here's the problem, it's EA. EA is notorious for cutting the ties a month after release. Try getting support for ANY command and conquer game that isn't Red Alert 2 right now (and even then, they'll just give you a release date). Now their game is dependant on a DRM system... and do you really think they'll care if that system goes down in 2, 3, 6 years down the road?
While I won't torrent the game (I hate to be a number they can use to say "see? This is why we do this.), I sure as fuck won't be buying it either. I have big problems when somebody calls me a thief after I gave them $50 and that's exactly what DRM is.

Is it true that we can't port our characters and bands from RB over to RB2? It'd suck to have to remake Kratos, Solid, and Naked Snake again...not to mention my original creations.

Yeah the obligatory killer app and maybe LBP for Christmas.
I better clarify my statement. I didn’t mean “F*ck I have to go to Canada” but “F*ck my pockets will be empty after I return from Canada” mostly because I like to explore museums and stuff now that I hope this doesn’t turn out like my last trip to Boston.
The museums were pretty much tourist traps and in Harvard people acted in this particular manner which I depict as a state between acting pretentious and being constipated.
The convention itself was a snore fest and I they didn’t showed anything “New or exciting” (Yes I’m bringing that phrase back) and I had this feeling people wanted to kick my ass for some reason although I met some cool guys from Canada, Japan and the U.K.
The MIT was pretty neat I guess and there was this Celtic restaurant with really good food but I don’t plan to ever come back there unless is for getting some kind of degree in the MIT for mere prestige but I’m talking about a few years in the future because right now I have tons of work to do.
Oh yeah I went to Salem and that was the best part of the whole thing.
(Even more off topic:I typed Came and suddenly the Spellcheck change it to I CAME,I don’t know what that was
