Send one to Redmond too. That might help.

Still, those damned Richmondians have been asking for it too.

Yeah but the USB cable is about 12 inches long, so you can't play while you charge...unless you sit directly in front of your HDTV.

Thanks for answering my battery question! The batteries are all first party... two of them came with Play & Charge kits.

Unfortunately, MS won't have any of it. The person I talked with on the support line said they won't replace them without the original proof of purchase slips. Who the hell keeps those, especially when the packaging is that terrible flesh gouging plastic that you have to massacre to get open?

I guess I'm going to stick to rechargeable. I spent a fair amount of coin on all those batteries, too. :(

When it comes to Microsoft and Xbox products *always* keep the receipt. Normally I don't worry about those sorts of things either, but MS have taught me this lesson the hard way. When I buy something Xbox related, I put the receipt into the original 360 box so I don't lose it.

If shes a girl gamer like me, it shouldnt be so hard. The JRPGS alone made the 360 the clear choice this time around so far.

I concur. My wife isn't a huge gamer, but she loves a good JRPG. Eternal Sonata was particularly appealing to the misses. It has good art, good music, cute characters, plenty of story *and* you can play co-op.

You know what question should have been answered over all of these?

"When is this new comment system going to be fixed?" It's damn near completely broken. No remembering email addresses. It doesnt send you an email when someone replies. The old one was light years better. Any hope of fixing this guys?

more reasons....

If she likes movie Scene It is great fun for all, my sister who hates video games and my 57 year old parents love it and the second one is coming out soon. Not to mention that other movie game where you actually will be part of the films.

Netflix Instant Viewing might help once it releases.

Plenty of party games -- Bomberman Live and such

hope that helps.

Phone sex via XBL? Naked video chat? Those two reasons alone should be enough!

I find that my wife and some of my friends' significant others cant seem to work games where they have to control the camera and move at the same time a la FPS games. So, when I got Too Human, I insisted my wife play it to try the guided-camera analog-fighting control scheme, and she's already beaten through it once, getting close to level 50 now. :P Sometimes it just takes a game with controls that they can grasp and are enjoyable, without much frustration. She has yelled at the camera a few times, but I just switch it to Iso and let her go again. :P

Have you shown her the new xbox experience campaign they're pushing, what with avatars, free online chat to you (saving the pennies on phone calls), netflix linking, gameshows with prizes, lips is like kareoke for 360 with custom songs, hell theres the dance matt games if she's into that. If you want her to consider fps's id say halo is a good bet because its brightly coloured and every map isnt dirt, mould or cement coloured like gear which not to sound sexist helped with my girlfriend because she doesnt like the dark and gritty nature. Now lets hope they decide for a tv tuner not unlike ps3 that adds recording and the 360 would be amazing =]

Concerning the battery charging issue.

I usually have to buy 2 to 3 recharge packs a year. After so many recharges they simply stop holding a charge. Right to the point where I'll put it in turn the controller on and get little more than a split second green flash then dead.

But thats a anual thing I do, less time than that is a problem I would take up with the place you bought them, legally or by any means available.

I guess they don't make them like they used to. I bought two Play N Charge kits at launch and two extra batteries a few months later. All of the battery packs seem to work just fine. Oddly so does my console. I just hope that if it is going to it red rings before the three years is up in about two months.

Hey! I asked about the analog controller stickiness. I think I will try and tear the controller open and see if there is anything I can fix.

Oh, and to the guy trying to get his girl to play? Let her know there are groups of girl gamers out there, so she'll have other girls to play with. Mine plays Halo more then I do! My girlfriend recommends finding a story line that your girl might enjoy and getting her to try it. Get her hooked on the story, then tell her you'd lend her the game if she only had her own 360... (Oh, and she also recommends buying one for her as a gift... with flowers, always remember the flowers)

Amazingly my wife loves COD4 (and loved COD2 before that). I even bought a 2nd Gamertag and 360 so that we could play on LIVE together--she of course gets the bigger TV. But now we have a 360 in the bedroom waiting for the Netflix integration--even though that means nothing to non-USAers. Worms is also fun for girls. They can't get enough of the cute voices.
