It's disappointing to see how many people are only buying SOCOM for the headset... Shame they never played the amazing SOCOM I and II on the PlayStation 2. SOCOM is a very underrated, and amazing game.

I know what your saying, but for me at least (and maybe some others), I'm not huge into tactical shooters. At the price with the headset though, I might be willing to give it a shot.

This would be cool if I hadn't already bought the Warhawk bundle.

This may seem a tad bit trivial, but...I don't really think the Playstation.Blog post referred to AI-controlled squadmates in SOCOM Confrontation. Seeing as this is a release similar to that of Warhawk, I assume this is merely a misunderstanding on your part. My understanding, after reading the post, was that the "high-quality" would pertain to future titles using a technology similar to that pioneered (or not, I really can't remember) in the original SOCOM, and probably in SOCOM 4.

A $10.00 socom game??? Wow.. Can't wait for the scores!!!

Imagine they just bundled socom 1and 2 with the headset?? That would be hilarious! And then only the ps3's with BC would be able to play them!! LOL Double whammy!

Oh, if ya'll gonna make list, you forgot the M.I.A. Hi-Def cables for the ps3. But im sure ya'll have those laying around from before, just like a old BT headset and keyboard, right?

Erm, I got my HDMI cable for £2 ($4) at a boot sale, and I did have a wireless keyboard/mouse lying around, admittedly not bluetooth, but just plugged in the dongle and it still works fine. Accessory prices definitely made the price difference between PS3 and 360 negligible.

I don't know why lists are made, especially with even MS and Sony saying themselves exclusives aren't important (and I believe them).

At the beginning of this generation I bought both thinking "all these games for PS3, and these for 360", and the only ones I cared about that were still exclusives in the end were Halo 3 and MGS4!

Perhaps different for others, but most games I flip a coin to pick the version (or sometimes PC), it's a shame, as multiplatform games never look as good.

Socom is not a ten dollar game. Heck why should I even try explaining, it's pointless anyway.

So does it actually transmit voice through the ear piece this time, or do I still have to hear retarded people through my stereo system?
