Offended? I'm just answering your question: "So what is the problem allowing that normal behavior in the game?"

I just explained the problem with allowing that normal behavior in the game: it would make the game too easy, which makes it less tense and less exciting. You keep talking about this "better" control scheme, and yet you have no explanation of what makes this control scheme better aside from realism.

Survival horror games have always derived much of their tension from clunky controls and slow-as-molasses movement. It was more out of technological infancy than design. It'll be interesting to see how the genre evolved with modern gamers not tolerating horrible, limited controls.

Well that has just spoilt the game for me. I loved the RE4 controls. The lack of being able to move and shoot made the game different and seperated it from the FPS/3rd Person Shooter genre. Now it's just Gears of War with Zombies. I'll pass. Hopefully they'll release the game on the Wii with the same controls from RE4:Wii Edition. Those controls were perfect. Not being able to move and shoot at the same time gave the game a different feel exclusive to the Resident Evil franchise that has always worked well. Now that they've lost that feeling, it's gonna feel like im playing Gears and not Res Evil. Thanks for fucking everything up Capcom. I would have bought it for 360, now i'll wait for a Wii port with the proper controls thanks.

I believe I have a solution. Same controls as RE4, but when you go to aiming mode, the camera joystick becomes movement. So, you can move and aim, but not move and shoot (at least without moving your hands around oddly on the controller).

Anyone who says that RE4's controls were unrealistic and that run and gun is the best tactic has never, EVER fired guns in real life.

You are not Rambo in RE4, you are a normal person with a gun who has to survive. The only thing they should add is a slow walk forward and backwards, otherwise everything in RE4 is exactly what real firearm experts would do in real life.
