Star Wars: The Force Unleashed is already a hit in the world of rectangular objects filled with paper and words. The New York Times' bestseller list shows that The Force Unleashed novel by Sean Williams has Jedi mind-tricked its way atop the hardcover fiction pile.
A demo for The Force Unleashed is currently available on both XBLM and PSN. The full game releases globally in two weeks.

I don't know if I buy the book, I'm much more interested in sending a storm trooper thru a hanger into outerspace than reading about it. But I've been wrong before. . .

There goes literature, right down the toilet.

what a stupid thing to say, you dont like the subject of a book so it's going to destroy the medium? It's even stupider considering that there are hundreds of Star Wars books and have been since the original movie

I agree with turtle when I also respond to chimp with a echoing, what? How does this game related book destroy literature. Halo books anyone?
(Never read it, but the idea of a game based book.)
What about the other star wars media? Or where you hoping for a quick sarcastic laugh?

Do the plots cover the same story? Vader finds a new apprentice, who then lays waste to a storm-trooper-filled hanger, etc. etc.

At least the books doesn't require the reader to sit through awkward animations and ridiculous voice acting. I've played through the demo, and as good as the level design and artistic direction looks, the motion capturing of the main character and the story they tell with budget voice acting is pathetic. The mo-cap they did looks terrible. A shame, this game has a lot of potential. I'm sure it will sell great, but a lot of it looks poo-poo.

I thought it looked pretty good, aside from Starkillers eyes.

You know I have always thought that star wars fanfictions and books are funny in a way since they give more character deep to the characters such as the sith.
For example Darth Maul had this cool backstory behind him and then when we watch Episode 1 we see how an effing padawan just killed him very easily.
Star wars books and fanfictions have better stories than the movies too bad I found star wars movies repulsive therefore I don’t feel like reading something that is based on them.

The fan fiction book are really good. I read that Darth Maul book you speak of and it was bad ass.
I am a huge Star Wars fanboy/whore but even i can admit that this game sucked total balls. I hated it.
At least I can play as Vader and the Apprentice in Soul Caliber 4.
I was going to buy this game until I played the demo. My biggest problem with the majority of these newer Star Wars games is the fact that there is really no replay value. No co-op, no multiplayer and no extra rewards for multiple playthroughs.
Where is my new Tie Fighter game or my new KOTOR.
