Under the new leadership of Fatal Frame alumni Jin Hasegawa, Tecmo's Itagaki-less Team Ninja is poised to unveil its latest titles at Tokyo Game Show, IGN reports. Newly appointed Tecmo president Yasuhara Kakihara began a press conference in Tokyo today with an announcement that the studio has three new action games aimed at a "worldwide audience" prepped for TGS, which gets underway on October 9.
Tecmo has also firmed up its US release schedule for the rest of 2008, which includes the M.I.A. Wii title, Rygar: The Battle of Argus, listed for December. The remainder of the publisher's '08 slate includes: Robocalypse (DS, 10/28), SPRay (Wii, 10/28), and Tecmo Bowl Kickoff (DS, November).

Perhaps one of those will be something for Square Enix since they proposed a buyout. We can only hope.

does "worldwide audience" mean "Hey everybody, our games will be available to a select system audience (probably XBox 360 owners only) in all territories simultaneously"? or does it mean, "Hey everybody, if you own any one gaming device, then you'll be able to play all of our newely announced games"?

I heard Team Ninja were making a new console named the 'Ninjetsu', sounds a bit like Nintendo I know, but apparently instead of a Wiimote, it comes with its own realistic nun chucks, motion sensitive samurai sword and smoke grenades. They also plan to make all thier games exclusive to the Ninjetsu. So maybe by global audience, they mean the inevitable domination of all consoles when everybody switches to the Ninjetsu instead of those uncool petty other consoles Wii, PS3 and 360. Those three are so yesterday.
