Four more GH World Tour tracks leak, Aussie release date revealed
24
It may seem odd that we're still talking about leaking Guitar Hero World Tour tracks, especially when we've had a full set list for the competing Rock Band 2 for months now (heck, we've had the whole thing ranked by difficulty for a week). Nonetheless, four more included tracks were revealed at an Activision press conference in New Zealand. The newly revealed songs (as reported by Gamespot) are:

I guess since Rock Band 2's track list has been up for months now that if GH:WT ships with any of the same tracks we can assume that they quickly said "Oh Sh*t what is the quickest way we can put that in our game"

Do you even understand how licensing the songs work? They started obtaining songs way before lists were even announced. It's mere coincidence. Same thing happened with GH3 and RB, but nobody bitched then.

Actually, while GHIII was being developed they were already probably scouting all the songs they could license.
They probably just got a list back saying which were possible and started incorporating them into actual playable tracks. Then, finally they would reach a final yes/no verdict, and if yes they would finish the song, if no, they would just scrap it. After all the songs are confirmed, they would probably make the full songlist final.
This would explain why Rock Band 2 and GH3 had so many songs alike. Probably because Harmonix filed for the rights right before mtv bought em, so the rights were shared between Activision and Harmonix.
This is all just a guess, but w/e.

There are too many common songs between the two now, it's getting annoying. The new GH is looking more and more like a rental only.

@Hafk:
Of course they didn't actually copy any of the songs. However, the lead GH:WT developer claimed that RB2 copied the cymbals in an "oh shit" moment, even though they had obviously been in development long before.
So, by Neversoft's own logic, they had an "oh shit" moment and decided to start copying songs from RB2.

The Living End - hell yes!! Bring on more Aussie rock!
Hopefully a master track (after the Carry Me Home cover in GH2), and hopefully a precursor to future TLE DLC. Bring it on!

So here's one for Aussie:
1) If you are a hardcore music games, menaing you play those bootleg Guitarfreaks/Drummania on expert, especially with leats 100 seconds, this is still a good news... it's only two weeks delay
2) If you are a causal music gamers, that all I can say is I pity you, as rock Band will not be coming down under. Harmonix should ditch EA like a bad habit and find someone else that are friendly to Aussies.

Haha, good luck with Scream, Aim, Fire by BFMV, that's a pretty tiring drum song. It's also pretty awesome. I thought it had double bass drum in it though.

Why does GH have to slowly leak out the songs for the game? Give people an offical list already?

What the fuck. The Los Lobos version of La Bamba? That was one of the few songs I was looking forward to on GHWT. Why the hell didn't they go with Ritchie Valens?

pretty psyched on BFMV, although a better song would've been hearts burst into fire or eye of the storm

Awesome, Scream Aim Fire is a pretty kick ass song. I just hope they put some Iron Maiden on this game, seeing as Rock Band couldn't get Run To The Hills back on RB2 with that song transfer thing.

It's official: Screw Rock Band!!
Activision FTW. Thank you for brining the game with such a short delay! Day 1 purchase for me, however... this means Gears 2 will be the massivest 5 day cramming session ever.
The only 2 more games I want this year releasing within a week of each other, great.
