Midnight Club: Los Angeles pushed back to Oct. 21
It wasn't all good news in Take-Two's stellar third-quarter earnings report and conference call today, as the company announced that the release date for Midnight Club: Los Angeles has been pushed back to Oct. 21 in North America and Oct. 24 in Europe. The new date follows previously announced North American dates of Oct. 7 and Sept. 9 for the game's release. Take-Two said the extra time is being used to help polish up the game and to make sure its release doesn't get lost amidst a competitive holiday schedule. Here's hoping this one finally sticks.

The sooner they kill NFS, the better...
OMGOMG @ Sep 4th 2008 6:31PM
Hate to say it, but you're right. NFS hasn't been the same since they did that underground crap.
tifosiotaku @ Sep 4th 2008 6:58PM
Don't worry about saying it, it's been established as fact that Underground was the jump-the-shark moment.
the_insider @ Sep 4th 2008 11:22PM
Really? NFS:U the peak? You must be kidding. What about MW or all the other much better NFS's before the garrish fast and furious Underground series?

It also needs to come out to teach the guys at EA a thing about level design. Midnight Club Dub Edition kills Burnout Paradise level design anyday...

Still hurting about the lack of local multiplayer...

Well that's good news. I was just gonna rent it, but now i'll have for time for SWFU and Fable 2
Sam Zebian @ Sep 4th 2008 6:47PM
Oh c'mon I was looking forward to getting this thing sooner.
Debikul @ Sep 4th 2008 8:19PM
Aww, come on guys. The "Underground" series was good. I do admit, after Underground 2 the series has been dropping in quality and innovation, but I still enjoyed playing Most Wanted, Carbon and Pro Street.
Maybe....just maybe...Undercover will redeem the series. Note that I said.."maybe".
tifosiotaku @ Sep 4th 2008 9:24PM
Have you ever played Porsche Unleashed or Hot Pursuit 2?
juju187 @ Sep 5th 2008 7:38AM
EA as a whole is dropping in quality and innovation,
Mercs2 buggy (still fun) army of two incomplete, need for speed with a new skin every year...

That really sucks!

Well, I think everyone can agree (except Debikul, it seems) that Pro Street was god awful...
But how is releasing the game on the same date as Far Cry 2 and Fable 2 a good idea?
Anthony @ Sep 4th 2008 11:36PM
Everyone knows that Rockstar delays all their games. Their a odd developer. They like to finish things and won't rush to do it.
juju187 @ Sep 5th 2008 7:39AM
striving for a quality release makes the odd?
