PSN Thursday: Qore Ep. 4 unlocks next week's Motorstorm: PR demo
Purchasing this month's episode of Qore unlocks the door on the Motorstorm: Pacific Rim Rift demo when it actually releases on Sept. 11. It also includes an "exclusive" LittleBigPlanet theme. Beyond that, it's a relatively quiet week on the PSN, but it is worth checking out the Pure demo. The details about this week's PSN update can be found after the break.

I can wait a week. I'll save my 3 dollars, thank you very much.
BSTKiller @ Sep 4th 2008 7:43PM
Qore gives you access on Sept 11... it won't be on PSN for at least a month after that...
Singstar update news anyone?
AlterEgo @ Sep 4th 2008 8:01PM
You mean wait a month*?
FOXHOUND @ Sep 4th 2008 10:40PM
I am also waiting for that aformentioned SINGSTAR update. :\ I just checked the store and it annoyingly has "Stay Tuned"... which is a kick in the patoot, considering it had hyped today as yet another update.
mezzanine @ Sep 4th 2008 10:43PM
I live in Antarctica, so a week here is a month, your time. Foolish mortalz.
Tomheivers @ Sep 4th 2008 7:48PM
Why can't Europe have Qore? :/
Looks like we're always gettin shafted :(
Titanium_Orchid @ Sep 4th 2008 7:51PM
You guys get PlayTV and..... yea.......
Tomheivers @ Sep 4th 2008 8:20PM
Exactly, and PlayTV is mostly UKfriendly ...
I guess Sony thinks Europe is a small country located next to the UK
Noshino @ Sep 4th 2008 10:15PM
funny thing is, Qore is not run by Sony, but by Future Publishing, a UK based company, you guys should really stop blaming Sony for this...

Paulmichael @ Sep 4th 2008 10:44PM
They always blame localization when Europe doesn't receive something.
jeff @ Sep 4th 2008 8:04PM
Shafted? why would anyone be willing to pay for a demo?
Tomheivers @ Sep 4th 2008 8:19PM
I'm talking about the beta's too :p
AlterEgo @ Sep 4th 2008 8:22PM
The demo is free.
It costs to get it a month early.
Tomheivers @ Sep 4th 2008 8:25PM
We're still getting shafted because we can't choose to pay for Qore or not :(
Hyams @ Sep 4th 2008 8:31PM
The demo's free. You're paying for the magazine, and the demo's a 'free gift'.
Just like the good old days. =)
Tomheivers @ Sep 4th 2008 8:43PM
Yes I know what you're getting at here :p
But you can't buy Qore in the EU ....
You know? It's just no fair, same for the SOCOM Qore beta, US could just buy their way in, SOCOMbeta is starting today, and almost all of the EU SOCOMpeople still don't have a key, and neither do we know where to get one. The only chance of a key (for UK people) is through Eurogamer. And the northern countries have a preorder thing going, but the rest of Europe is clueless
So I guess this is why I'm kinda agitated about this :p

Lots of people, for many years

Dirty @ Sep 4th 2008 8:15PM
I really am starting to resent Qore. I know I usually bitch at cheap asses but I just want the demo and Im not going to pay for it. I guess I will just have to wait but I still think this is bush league.
Killjebus @ Sep 4th 2008 8:23PM
Remember the now defunct OPM? Each issue had a PS2 demo disc...but each issue was $8. So, overall $3 is much better than $8. The fact that we get many, many demos for FREE this generation is a bonus. Stop complaining so much. At least the PSN HAS demos unlike that other machine that has NONE, and themes, and wallpapers...for FREE.
Hyams @ Sep 4th 2008 8:32PM
So I guess this means us Europeans don't get to play the demo for another month then? =(
umm....hello??? @ Sep 4th 2008 9:30PM
the Pure demo is awesome....I might skip MotorStorm altogether...
umm....hello??? @ Sep 4th 2008 9:33PM
and forget Qore....that's Sony's way of getting yearly dues (the equivalent of XBL's $50 annual fee for gold membership)...I can wait a month for a demo.
AlterEgo @ Sep 4th 2008 9:39PM
What?
Kodros @ Sep 4th 2008 9:40PM
That's great and all but Qore isn't a Sony publication. So there goes your argument.
umm....hello??? @ Sep 5th 2008 9:25AM
really?? this is from Sony's PS3 website:
Qore™ Presented by the PLAYSTATION®Network
Qore is available for download in single episodes at $2.99, or you can sign up for an annual subscription of all 13 episodes for $24.99. Trust us, it's worth it.
To get Qore, log onto the PLAYSTATION®Network and go to the PLAYSTATION®Store, as if you're purchasing any other downloadable content. Once purchased, that month's episode will be downloaded under the "game" heading on the Cross Media Bar (XMB™). If you get the annual subscription, in the following months the new episodes will automatically appear in your download list.
QORE is a trademark of Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc.
Kodros @ Sep 5th 2008 3:25PM
"Qore™ Presented by the PLAYSTATION®Network" and "QORE is a trademark of Sony Computer Entertainment America Inc."
That just means that Sony owns the name and that you can get it from PSN.
Future US is the actual publisher of Qore. They also do Nintendo Power, PC Gamer, Official Xbox Magazine, and a few others.
SHAZAM! @ Sep 5th 2008 4:57AM
Wait, hold it. Now we have to pay them to play their demo's? I thought a demo was made to sell people on a game, get them excited for it, so they would put down bigger money and get the full thing.
Well that's all gone out the window if for early access you have to buy something...no thanks, I'll wait.
Kodros @ Sep 5th 2008 3:27PM
"Wait, hold it. Now we have to pay them to play their demo's?"
No, you don't. The End.
