It would have to be the battle in the original Star Wars that led to the destruction of the Death Star....

My favorite space battle is the battle in the beginning of Star Wars Episode III.

The battle over Endor against the second Death Star. That firefight between the capital ships is sweet.

My favorite Space Battle would be the battle between the Earth Federation and the Delaz Fleet in the Sea of Solomon (from Mobile Suit Gundam 0083)

Destruction of the Death Star

The final battle in Return of the Jedi only to hear Admiral Akbar yell "It's a trap!"

Empire Strikes Back, the chase through the asteroid belt.

Spaceballs, when the ship is self-destructing.

Enterprise vs. Borg in one of the Star Trek:TNG movies.

My favorite space battle would have to be any battle from the new Battlestar Galactica series.

Death Star

The destruction of the second Death Star. That was pretty fun to watch. =D

The last episode of Doctor Who had a ton of planets being used as a weapon. Now that's a space battle!

Early episodes of the new Battlestar Galactica has some great space battles...

Final battle in Ender's Game.

Pretty much any major fight in Futurama.

When the Battlestar Galactic is plummeting towards the planet New Caprica, all the Vipers launch out, and Admiral Adama does an "atmo" jump 10 feet from the ground.

I love when the space station in Solaris (the original not the one with Clooney) gets owned by the planet. sorry I can't remember the names or anything it was all in Russian. great movie though.

All Star Trek battles.

When Megatron and Co. blow a hole in the side of the Ark and open a can of Whoop A$$ on the Autobots in the original animated Transformers Movie.

Revenge of the Sith openning scene, the Battle of Courscant when General Grevious Captured Chancellor Palpatine and Anakain and Obi-Wan used the Jedi Fighters to board his ship.

Great way to start a great movie!

Space Balls

Mine would have to be the ending of Mass Effect, it was quite epic!

when master chief set the covenant up the bomb in halo2. it was cool.

My favorite space battle would have to be the one you fight in Galaga. Yes, I'm a nerd. (Would I be here otherwise?)

Hate to repeat an almost trite response, but the first attack on the Death Star the only space battle I can really remember, and it's an enjoyable watch for me each time.
