Why would anyone waste their time trying to promote Gamefly? I see the value in ridiculous fun, seriously. But sorry, but my personal opinion is that they are really taking a dive as far as caring about their customers. I am a long-time member in Los Angeles, currently have a one-game plan (scaled down from a 3 game plan) and have about 15 games in my cue at any time, for the 360 and the Wii. After I return a game it takes about 2 weeks to get a new one - used to be about 2 days. I think they are pulling a Blockbuster and paying more attention to newer customers; getting them games faster to hook them/impress them and ignoring the rest of us. Anyone else?

I don't think I can agree with you. I use to live in Arizona and at the time I lived there, I had the 3 game plan as well. My turn around was great with them. Turned the game in on Monday and received my new game by Friday or Saturday. I since have moved back to Michigan (my home state) and downgraded to the 1 game plan. Still, my turn around is around 1 week or less. I have heard horror stories about them (especially from a friend that lives in Florida) but I can't argue with them. They have had great service for me.

I have to say I've had the opposite as well, my turnaround time is about 6 days from Idaho. 3 days for them to receive, 3 days for them to get a new one here.

However, when Mercenaries 2 launched, they shipped it on Saturday and it arrived Tuesday (only one day, as Monday was Labor Day). It stunned the hell out of me, which makes me happy having their awesome 4-game plan. :P

Dunno what's with all the GameFly hate, I've skipped out on dropping $60 a game and still keeping it for months.

Psh, I'd rather them spend more effort on opening new distribution centers and improving their shipping speeds than a silly casting call.

Unlicensed cosplay, though

They should start buying up rights to get cosplay from real characters, it'd be more appealing

Or they could just hire PAX Captain Falcon

If it wasn't for the risk of being sued, I'd say they should hire that "LEGEND of NEIL" guy parodying the Zelda games.

I've had Gamefly forever and I stand by them. If anything I've only seen my service improve over time. I swear by them. They've paid for themselves time and time again with every crappy game I've been able to send back without the kick in the @ss of having spent $60 on it.

I think this casting call is hilarious... but seriously... have you seen the videos people have submitted so far? Honestly, people need to step up. Hopefully this casting call in L.A. will result in some decent stuff. Their commercials are pretty clever, I want to see people coming up with some good stuff. So far it's just been kids and web cams. All well and good but people need to rise to the challenge. I know there are plenty of people out there willing and able to goon out completely for the camera. Where are they? Bring it already?
