Maybe it's supposed to be a strangely coloured eye, suggesting that the postmen can look through your letterbox and catch you doing naughty things.

Or catch your POKEMON LOLOLOLOLOL

It's not the only logo to draw inspiration from pokeballs lately... Has no one seen the Google Chrome logo?

I've been thinking the same thing about the Google Chrome logo -- it looks a lot like a Pokéball.

Just because it's a circle within a circle doesn't mean there's a significant resemblence... this however goes far past that.

How long does it take for the feeling of shame and self loathing to wear off after your first time?

Makes carrying junk mail easier. Carry all the real mail in the pouch (you know, two envelopes per thousand people) and put all the ads and shit into the ball to save on space, time, and postal carrier's backs.

The design was created by a Swedish design bureau! And it's not just the logo for the Norwegian Postal service but Scandinavia's *largest* postal service company! The companies in the group, Posten and Bring, are represented and major players in Norway, Denmark and Sweden.

Doesn't matter if it was made by Swedes, Danes, Japanese, Russians or a bunch of unemployed bums drifting along the roads - it still sucks donkey butt.

"Renewal" is all good and well, but throwing anything old out the window just "because it's old" - that's not a good strategy however you look at it.

It should be noted that Dagens Næringsliv (a financial newspaper) [1] estimates Posten payed approx 37 million euro for their new "logo".
