Sure, it may not be poised to rival World of Warcraft, but Warhammer Online: Age of Reckoning is attracting the same audience. Given WoW's install base rivals that of medium-sized nation-states, it serves as a rather handy metric for comparing all other MMOs.
Our friends at Massively have done just that (as they have previously with Age of Conan and Guild Wars), presenting a WoW-based primer for the world of Warhammer Online. World, characters, questing, crafting, user-interface, PvP and more are covered, so if you're interested in WAR and have at least passable knowledge of WoW, check out the guide.

An hour and 12 minutes and that's all you've got? No "first"? You have failed me for the last time.

Now that's the kind of a game I'd be interested in if I was sad enough to play an MMO.

As someone who has played wow since beta, I am in open beta for this right now and its FANTASTIC. Everything wow got lazy on or missed is launching with this game The RvR is fun(open world pvp) the scenarios are fun(battlegrounds) the PQs are awesome, its cool having basicly two levels one for pve and one for rvr. You can level from doing only rvr if you wanted too, and the crafting is lots of fun too. I cant wait to try castle and keep sieges.

Also to expand, the questing is fun the greenskin dialog is HILARIOUS(one quest you pick up an unconcious orc, put him in a barrel and push him off a towering castle) you launch yourself off a catapult, in one quest a guy asks you to kill 3 wolves and then feed the meat to pigs, and then another guy is mad and asks you to do the opposite. The map is really helpful it tells you what area your quests take place in and it changes on the fly for when you need it to.
