You guys that railed on me for suggesting that $150 is not as bad as it sounds, should know I sold my old 20GB for $45 in under 3 hours and made the $150 = $105.

You pay what you have to pay.. simple as that. Since it is a proprietary form factor it's going to add to the cost a bit. OH WELL. Bitch and moan like I did when it was priced at $180. At least they finally brought the price down $30.

You guys are all so full of shit its really sad. The hard drive is NOT, repeast NOT using a propriatary form factor. Its a damn shell housing a standard 2.5" laptop drive.

And unless they have changed from the ones pictured above they are using the cheaper 5400 drives. Price in bulk for MS? Maybe....maybe $50. that includes the shell and the interface to the 360. Face it. This is pure rape to avoid people just getting an arcade and upgrading. I would have less of an issue with this if MS focused their differentiation on something other then a drive so we can drop some bank on a 300GB drive, pop it into the cage, and have the system format and encrypt it. But no. We have to get stuck with a 120GB drive, and when that filled up? Another $150 for the 200GB drive that will undoubtedly come out next year.
I want to like the 360. I really do. But this smacks of some serious BS policies being floated, as in the toilet, at MS.
