Here's the full Guitar Hero World Tour set list
That's it, no more of this drip-feeding, hype-building rubbish! Activision has finally decided to unveil the entire list of 86 master tracks you'll be rocking, wailing, gyrating and, depending on your level of inebriation, flailing to when Guitar Hero World Tour bursts onto the stage on October 26th. Honestly, we were getting a bit tired of all those, "Ooh, so-and-so's in the game!" bits and pieces, so we're glad to be done with all the pointless stalling and the ...

Its a good list, but i like some of the rockband 2 songs better. still, some great songs here
Boffo the Sock @ Sep 12th 2008 2:34PM
I agree with you. There are some very good songs on that list, but not enough to pull me away from Rock Band 2. It's hard to compete with my existing investment and interest in the Rock Band catalog, let alone the love myself and my friends have for playing that game.
MasterCKO @ Sep 12th 2008 2:52PM
And there's a lot of overlap between this list and the RB2 list (and the current RB DLC). Way to catch-up Activision.
There are some good ones here, though, but nowhere near enough to get me to buy this game AS WELL AS RB2.
Jitaroo @ Sep 12th 2008 3:58PM
What i find weird is that they featured the drummer from Red Hot Chili Peppers, yet there aren't any songs from them.
That alone makes me want Rock Band 2 way more than GH, as well as the DLC and rock band 1 song carry over.
Sinister Rouge @ Sep 14th 2008 8:21AM
No Chili Peppers= instant fail
xmrblondex @ Sep 12th 2008 2:03PM
The Mars Volta! Awesome!
Dirty @ Sep 12th 2008 2:07PM
and At the Drive In. Mars Volta is made up of 2 of the members of At the Drive in. The other 2 went to start Sparta. One arm scissor is an awesome song.
Brian Fantana @ Sep 12th 2008 6:55PM
Yup. And L'via Viaquez is an awesome fucking song.
Dave Jodoin @ Nov 7th 2008 11:39PM
dude Jimi Hendrix totally kicks everyone's ass....
all this game needs is some AC/DC instead of Micheal Jackson and all this new punk shit yo
tmacairjordan87 @ Sep 12th 2008 2:04PM
Very odd Metallica choice. Great song, just strange since it's not one of their old classics. Overall that list is pretty meh though.
Probot @ Sep 12th 2008 2:27PM
Exactly what I was thinking.
"Is that new? Oh, it's one of the songs I skip over when listening to Ride the Lightning."
I can't even think of what it sounds like off the top of my head. Then again, it means I'm not completely sick of it, like Enter Sandman.
Raikage (GOLDEN Gun Of The Patriots) @ Sep 12th 2008 2:38PM
Yeah, Enter Sandman is more annoying than good now...
I was hoping for Battery, Fade to Black, or even cooler would be Seek and Destroy.
tmacairjordan87 @ Sep 12th 2008 2:45PM
Battery is in Rock Band 2 at least :-\
Haggard (Free Mr.ESC!) @ Sep 12th 2008 3:30PM
It's a good song, very fast, very thrash. Random choice though... I've always thought that For Whom The Bell Tolls would be a strong Rock Band choice though - powerful vocals; an audible bass on the introduction, and simple but fun drums (oh, and a squeadly-squeadly guitar bit).
KDawg2600 @ Sep 12th 2008 3:30PM
They're probably saving the bigger Metallica songs for the rumored Guitar Hero: Metallica.
RavenPaul @ Sep 12th 2008 3:38PM
I agree, some good songs, but overall pretty bad list. "Trapped Under Ice"? I like the song but definiately not the one I'd pick. Nirvana - "About a Girl (Unplugged)"?!? Unplugged. Where is "Smells like Teen Spirit?!? Where's Pearl Jam? Michael Jackson, Willie Nelson, and 3 from Tool? Definiately a used buy for me, as cheaply as I can get it.
Haggard (Free Mr.ESC!) @ Sep 12th 2008 4:36PM
Hey man, Beat It has one of the best guitar solos ever written. It's pretty much a Van Halen song with Jackson singing.
david @ Oct 31st 2008 8:27PM
im so excited they put my favorite metallica song and no its not an odd choice and it is a classic from 1984
HighFiveJesus @ Sep 12th 2008 2:04PM
damn, say what you will about the developers/and the direction of the game, but the track list just gets better and better for me.
Top Cat @ Sep 12th 2008 2:04PM
Mars Volta - "L'Via L'Viaquez"
Sold
Alex @ Sep 12th 2008 6:49PM
Kent: Vinternoll2
Sold.
please @ Sep 12th 2008 2:06PM
Awful second rate album filler songs
jsn @ Sep 12th 2008 2:06PM
it's worth getting if you're a fan of the genre. plenty of good songs there, but I have little doubt that it will be like GH3 where I play it, beat it and move on to something else. Rock Band keeps me coming back with a wide variety of regular dlc.
giantenemycrab @ Sep 12th 2008 2:06PM
Up next: note charts. If they are anything like GH3, then I'm staying away from this game. Hopefully they hired someone who knows a little about music.
giantenemycrab @ Sep 12th 2008 2:10PM
"Dream Theater - "Pull Me Under"
Ohhhhh.. crap. Now I may have to buy this game regardless. Pull Me Under is a much better song than "Panic Attack", the DT song on Rock Band. Dang it. I have to buy it now.
Young_Nastyman @ Sep 13th 2008 4:43AM
i feel your pain giantenemycrab Pull Me Under alone is enough for me to rent it, but the addition of the Nuge, Wings, and CCR are pushing me to buy it after I rent it
Dirty @ Sep 12th 2008 2:09PM
I feel like this list has more songs that I would feel ok singing. Im not a fan of being the singer but sometime you gotta do it.
Mischa @ Sep 12th 2008 2:12PM
The good songs on this list are really good, but the bad songs on this list are TERRIBLE. Trapped under ice is the best Metallica song you could think of?? Seriously??? You might as well just put up the whole Death Magnetic CD on here.
Oh wait.
Raikage (GOLDEN Gun Of The Patriots) @ Sep 12th 2008 2:29PM
At least the CD is decent...
Although I do miss his younger voice...
supakoopa @ Sep 12th 2008 2:12PM
WAY too many song from Rockband and Rockband 2 for me to justify a purchase, I'm gonna pass on this.
Probot @ Sep 12th 2008 2:59PM
I count 13 songs on both lists. And only 3 songs from GHWT are available on Rock Band via DLC. (And oddly, one song from the Rock Band 2 setlist is already available for Rock Band: Jimmy Eat World - The Middle.)
Lot of the same bands, but not all the same songs.
Benjamin Breeg @ Sep 13th 2008 3:06AM
Where in the fuck is Iron Maiden?
Asher @ Sep 12th 2008 2:56PM
Yeah where the fuck is Iron Maiden? First we can't transfer Run To The Hills (even though the cover wasn't that good...) to Rock Band 2, now Guitar Hero doesn't give us any Maiden? What in the balls is going on here?!
Hafk @ Sep 12th 2008 3:31PM
Harmonix and Neversoft have switched to a "No Cover" mentality, and since the Maiden mastertracks have vocals and drums on the same track, it is impossible to do Maiden songs full-band without covering it or re-recording it.
KDawg2600 @ Sep 12th 2008 3:36PM
The theory is that all the Iron Maiden master tracks have been lost. So unless they rerecord a song like Aerosmith did for Dream On and a few others, then it would have to be a cover. And if I'm not mistaken, both of these games are touting "All master tracks! No Covers!" So if they included an Iron Maiden cover, they couldn't say that anymore and that would be a marketing problem when comparing the two games.
I'm sure they'll have some DLC in the future.
Mrblonde @ Sep 12th 2008 4:23PM
The run to the hills cover wasn't too bad.
colin @ Sep 12th 2008 2:16PM
dinosaur jr. - feel the pain
i forgot about that one. i love that song.
Tez (PSN: Tezasaurus) @ Sep 12th 2008 2:18PM
Lots of great songs, makes me glad the instruments are going to be inter-compatible.
J.Goodwin @ Sep 12th 2008 2:21PM
There are only a few songs on here that I'd really like to have, so I can live without it.
There was a recent DLC track by Dream Theater in Rock Band as well (I think in the Roadrunner Records Pack, you can probably buy it individually).
Dralzz @ Sep 12th 2008 2:22PM
So how are they going to do the bass on the Korn song? Same as the others, or will you have to slap the instrument?
Tiptup300 @ Sep 12th 2008 2:23PM
Korn & Sublime! Wow I may actually consider bu- nevermind, I was ahead of myself.
gavin @ Oct 31st 2008 5:22PM
WHAT!!!!!!!
Jim Halpert DM @ Sep 12th 2008 2:24PM
Can I get some Killers please? I'd love to have Sam's Town as DLC, or give me "All These Things that I've Done".
Kevin @ Sep 12th 2008 2:27PM
311!!!!!
FINALLY!!!!!
Beautiful Disaster, no less!!
This is freaking awesome news!!
Will the Rock Band instruments work with this game???
Jestersage @ Sep 12th 2008 2:29PM
It will work with GHWT, provide your instrument is not wii version.
Kevin @ Sep 12th 2008 2:33PM
Awesome. Thanks for the info!
I'm so excited about this now!
MasterCKO @ Sep 12th 2008 3:34PM
actually, I'm pretty psyched about that song, too. I skimmed over it I guess. Now, I actually might buy this....d'oh!
Raikage (GOLDEN Gun Of The Patriots) @ Sep 12th 2008 2:33PM
Some strange choices in there... Metallica's choice get's a lol wut for sure.
But it looks just as good as RB's set list, if not better.
Kizzle @ Sep 12th 2008 2:41PM
Not a bad list. I prefer Rock Band 2's, though, especially when it comes to metal. Trapped Under Ice? I guess they're saving the good stuff for the standalone Metallica game...
Beatz @ Sep 12th 2008 2:43PM
Of course every has different tastes musically. For me, I give it to Rock Band 2's setlist because it might not have the highs of World Tour (The Doors! Jimi Hendrix!), but the quality is more consistent across the songs.
But you know. Opinions and assholes and all that.
