The Australian OFLC ratings board has given Castlevania III: Dracula's Curse a G rating, which means the title should be on its way to a Virtual Console near you relatively soonish. The circle will finally be complete, as Castlevania, Castlevania II: Simon's Quest, and Super Castlevania IV from the SNES era, are already on the download service.
So, those old enough to remember, who was your favorite playable character in the game: Trevor, Sypha Belnades, Grant DaNasty or Alucard?

bah who cares.
I didn't play castlevania until IV on SNES, if I try to play everything before SNES game they feel primitive in comparison. Yeah its just a remake of the 1st one with better graphics and music, but thats great since NES games don't hold up but this is.
Now Japan got Castlevania: Rondo of Blood X on Virtual Console for TG16.
I'll gladly pick that game up.

I love this game but can never find the soundtrack. Anybody know where I can download it?
(I miss the Password enter music with that creepy "Ha Ha Ha Ha" in the background.)

Grant was the best by far. Alucard was cool too. Now Konami should do a sequel to Symphony of the Night with multiple characters as in Castlevania 3 (Grant and Alucard MUST be in the game) and high resolution 2d sprites in front of beautiful 3d backgrounds.
Obviously it must be side-scrolling and with an orchestral soundtrack. Can you imagine how awesome that would be? Just in case the game should be done with the ps3/360 horsepower in mind (and on PS3 the soundtrack should be delivered in full 7.1 PCM uncompressed audio)...the wii can have the fighting game.

I dug Alucard and his fire-shootin' badassery, but you just can't top the wall-huggin' knife-chuckin' Grant with simple pyrotechnics.
