Sony launches MyBUZZ in U.S., includes prizes for best quizmaster
Though the next installment of Sony's trivia-tastic Buzz franchise, Buzz! Quiz TV is still a few weeks from release, the company recently launched a web component for the game for would-be American quiz crafters. Titled MyBuzz, the site allows users to create quizzes which can either be taken online, or in-game when Quiz TV hits U.S. store shelves Sept. 23. Users can also rate quizzes submitted by other community members -- Sony is offering a PSP-3000 and a copy of Buzz! Master Quiz for the user with the "Top Quiz", and a PS3/Quiz TV bundle for the "All Time Top Author". One caveat -- hiring a local bridge troll to write your noggin-scratchers for you will result in immediate disqualification.

Picked up Buzz: The Mega Quiz for PS2 with four controllers last night at Walmart on clearance for $15. It was worth about as much. I can see it will be fun to bring out once in a while but other than that.....meh.

well that sounds like a pretty interesting idea. it can certainly extend the life of a title like that. user generated content is certainly the way of the future.
too bad im not into the whole 'quiz show' game thingy.

User generated content= Expect Penises.

lol @ Wiinterfang
this is very true, but penises aside, user generated content is where it's at.

My friend managed to pick up Buzz in the UK (trophy whore) and I played a few games with him and after the fourth time I got really fucking annoyed with the presenter guy.

I wonder if her real name is Sakura or she's just a huge Naruto fan.
Sheppy (of the Fidlious Clan of Wong) @ Sep 15th 2008 12:26AM
I'm GUESSING it's just a character name. After all, Sakura has been a common Japanese name for a long, long time and based on the obvious ethnicity of the character in question, I'd say it's obvious. After all, this Sakura has neither the HakiMaki headband and affinity to Shoryukens nor pink hair and tendacy to sob. And I certainly don't think she pilots a giant robot in the name of Sega...

Games with My-prefix titles are getting on MyNerves. Why not do something else? I'd be okay with BUZZ Xtreme, BUZZ-2000, or even BUZZ XII: Grand Quizmaster Legends.
SoCoolCurt (PSN: KillaKornbread) @ Sep 15th 2008 1:30AM
yea tell me about it. the whole 'My' prefix thing is approaching the 'i' prefix craze in the level of annoyance.

I think thats pretty cool people can make up their own quizes on this game. That must be really helpful to teachers and parents.Alot of kids hate quizes but in a video game form they probably would love it.Its taking something that is disliked by many and making them into something eveybody likes, a video game.
