What's the Little Big Pop Up Shop? Well, what do you think it is? If your instincts tell you that it must be some sort of LittleBigPlanet-themed place that suddenly popped up out of nowhere, then you'd be right. It's apparently an activity center in Manchester, England where gamers can go and try out the game's creation tools. Before hitting the digital realm though, children and adults alike put their creativity to the test first by designing Sackboys with crayon drawings.
It's a pretty cool idea -- having a LittleBigPlanet workshop in your town. Unfortunately for us, we'd have to swim across an ocean to get there. It won't be lasting too long, either; if you want to check out the shop you'd better do so now as it will close up by October 4. Head out after school with friends, or take the kids one weekend. We bet that's what that old lady in the pic is doing ... having a cup of joe while the grandkids run amok in the store. Sounds fun.
Now how about those of you who can't make it? Then check out the Flickr photos here.

I work in the building above the lbp pop up shop. Sackboy taunts me every day but I am trying to hold off going in so I get the joy of lbp in it's complete state on release.
Good to see the advance marketing though just need more friends to buy ps3!
Roll on 31st OCt and the week of work I am planning!

I got word of this being in manchester from friends at the weekend so i went down there after college (as i go to college in manchester) and played around 15 minutes of lbp, one thing that i do remember out of it all though the level creater was so easy to use and the controls felt just right, now i'm sort of wishing i didn't go - i'm much more hyped for this game now.

I wonder if these are going to be popping up around the UK, US and Japan up until after the game is launched.

hey guys. this is old news. It was reported that this was gonna happen over on another website a while ago. I think the article was called '12 things you didnt know about littlebigplanet'.
But nice to know that it's happening for sure!

well i went there today, the game is amazing, so much depth and customization. There are levels already made that are really fun to play. I learned something new that i didnt know before, its a platform game with a difference its also got 5 levels of depth, rather than the conventional 2d. i have no regrets about pre-ordering this game. to me this lives up to the hype. absolutely genius. ill be going back there before it closes to get my fix before i get my copy :)
