He's a tester and testers, by nature, are worthless gasbags with little to no aspirations! I work with a few that aspire to become "Production Assistants" or douchebags with a bigger chip on their shoulders!

He totally deserved to get fired for being an asshole and speaking out of school! He probably though he was being cool and "controversial". Get a skill and apply it, otherwise you are a useless monkey in the machine that is game development!

I think he knew he was going to get fired for this. This is very sensitive information; the fact that you can replicate a RROD means that EVERY 360 console out there is a lemon. And like Dean Takahashi has reported before, there are multiple flaws in the construction of the 360. It only takes one component to fail in order to render the 360 completely useless, and Microsoft is releasing these very fragile machines as we speak! It won't be until the next motherboard iteration (I believe Takahashi said it would come out in 2009) that the majority of the problems may be finally solved. However, nearly every system shipped--due to its construction--is so fragile that it could fail at any minute. And now the RROD can be reproduced. It's terrible!

I'm glad Microsoft doesn't manufacture cars or safety equipment.

NDA's don't work they way you people are suggesting... if something is public knowledge already, you are able to discuss the subject (without revealing anything not already public knowledge).

If he'd mentioned the red rings and they were not public knowledge *then* he would be in hot water.

This shouldn't have deserved anything more than a slap on the wrist.

F**kin douchebag probably deserved what he got. I hope he's out on the streets with less than $2. If you got something against your workplace (that is not illegal), then keep it to yourself d!ckhe@d.
