I too prefer for you to update me on the new marketplace content, rather than me having to look through that mess. Especially with the video marketplace, as that's about the only part of the marketplace I visit.

The DVD tray used to automatically close after 10mins or so, so leaving the tray open isn't a solution if that still occurs.

in the ps3 there is an option to make the game not auto start and just sit there and not run.

sucks for you

Actually, in the 360 dashboard settings blade, you can have the xbox boot to the dashboard rather than autorun the DVD. I do that, and my drive doesn't start up until I select "Play [game name]" from the dashboard menu.

Pretty sure the writer was talking about after the system is on, when you insert the disc it simply autoplays immediately.

I find myself leaving the tray open with a disc ready to go, but I would much prefer an option to close the try and NOT have the game autoplay as well.

The PS3 does, in fact, have that feature as well, but I can't lie to you, I put a disc in that thing about once every six months so it's not like it matters that much. Gotta love it's media streaming capabilities though, MS needs to step up there game in that department and offer more codecs and their upscaler needs to like, exist, so all of my non-HD videos on the PC don't look like they're streaming from Youtube on my HDTV should I decide to use the 360 to watch them.

Oh yes, my entire existence as an Xbox 360 user is now defunct because my game auto-runs whenever I insert it into my gaming machine. Void is the fact that I could just keep the tray open until I am ready to play a game OR just not put any media in right away.

Woe is me.

Woe.

I went there. All there is is call customer support to cancel, I did it and they wasted literally 40 minutes of it time trying to convince me to upgrade to the 3 month or yearly subscription...

It's much easier than that. If you intend to keep on Live as a Silver meber, just go to your Xbox Profile, account preferences, and choose Silver.

After the payment you already paid for runs out, you will be a Silver member with no recurring costs.

You only need to call the Hotline if you want to completely cancel your Live account, i.e. have your complete gamertag deleted.

I will second the words of Mr. Grant in saying that the Mass Effect DLC is worth the points spent. BioWare put the effort into making it more than just one of the side missions in the game.

Even if COD4 did come with a redemption token it wouldn't matter since the site has displayed this: http://gameoftheyear.callofduty.com/ since June. Total BS. I get that they were too lazy to include the updates on the disc, but then how do they justify not even making them available online? It seems like blatant false advertising.

I work at GameStop and a while back, Activision told the company that Call of Duty 4's GOTY version will no longer carry the map voucher, unless it was stated on the cover of older copies. It's basically the older edition with a darker boxart and the GOTY slapped on it.

QUESTION: Why hasn't Microsoft Games Studios worked on a sequel to Crimson Skies for the 360 (or are they)?

PRAISE: I too enjoyed the Video Marketplace Weekly!

When reading the product description it says the PC wireless receiver (for 360 controllers) supports up to 4x controllers on one receiver. . .

Is it really only one or just an error on your guys' part?

If a developer has allocated that 10MB EDRAM to other procedures, then they wouldn't use if for FSAA. The Xenos GPU can do 4x with no performance hit on the GPU itself, but that's only if it has all 10MB available. The EDRAM also handles things like z-buffering and alpha blending, so it's not just a matter of turning FSAA on or off... you still have to make compromises for performance.
