At last, confirmation that doesn't come from a nebulous internet entity or a gravelly voiced figure in a trench coat. Not that we have anything against those two fine and often charismatic sources of information, but we're just a teensy bit more confident in Microsoft's confirmation (and corroboration) to us that "exclusive episodes for 'Grand Theft Auto IV' will be available on Xbox 360 starting fall 2008." That's quite a bit better than the rumored January, we think.
Details regarding the crime caper's new episodes are still officially non-existent, but nebulous internet entities and gravelly voiced figures in trench coats all agree: it'll likely involve car theft and other illegal shenanigans.

Except the millions of players making it still one of the top played 360 titles.

I'm sure people will care. We still don't know anything about the DLC, but for me...I got sick of GTA4 a couple of weeks after I got the game. I still wonder how much RS held back because of the limitations of the 360. Maybe we will find out when RS shows the PS3 exclusive they have been working on for almost 2 years now.
There are SO MANY other games coming out this fall that I doubt the DLC will sell that well unless its really good and cheap.

I can see your reasoning. Every time I walk into a GameStop, I see tons of used GTA IV copies.

Even as someone who thought GTA IV was massively overrated, it was still an enjoyable game, while it lasted, it's biggest problem is just that there was no replay value. If this DLC adds in more diversions, new areas or even just more story missions, then it will be very welcome.
I'd love to see some new areas and some new vehicles added..

No replay value? Do you not just boot it up and drive around wreaking havok? Or go online and play? The game has more replay value then most.

To be honest, I haven't played GTA in quite awhile. I might even get a feeling of nostalgia when I pop in the disc. Eee I'm excited now. =X

Recently tried to restart GTA4 for something to do until Wipeout was released, got a few missions done and was pretty bored, went back to my 100% save, had some fun chases, killed some cops but got bored after about 2 hours of that.
I guess I was spoilt by San Andreas, nothing was as fun as getting 4-5 stars and getting in a Rancher and going off road, speeding through a desert pulling into an abandoned Airport and stealing a Hydra jump jet and flying over a quarry, parachuting into it and riding a motorbike out then to the top of a mountain then parachuting off that too.
Half of me wants that DLC to be good to proove Rockstar havent lost 'it', but the other half wants it to be crap or I will feel like I spent full price for half a game. GTA4 was good dont get me wrong, I just felt like they removed far too much content which took a lot of the 'fun' with it.

I booted the game up the other day just to screw around and get a couple of achievements. Also to play the alternate ending to the game I didn't play on my first go-around. The game is so much fun, if you haven't, you owe it to your self to play the vigilante missions. They take place in some of the areas your likely to never visit just playing through the story. Really makes me appreciate just how much detail they put into the city.

I wonder if it'll make me take the game out, blow the dust from it and play it, or will it be a waste of money?
