I've always wondered what Criterion got from releasing all this free DLC? The general public dont hear much about it so I wouldnt have thought it would help sales soo much.

Not that I am complaining, free DLC is good :)

My guess is the ads in the game make it free. The ads don't bother me but I do notice them since they are actual ads from retailers. They don't say anything generic like Eat at Joe's. I think its great. I take these type of ads any day for free content.

If I'm remembering right too, don't the ads update automatically? I remember playing a few months ago, even before the Cagney update was released, and seeing an ad for a movie that was coming out the next week. I can't be certain, but if so, honestly this is the way to do in-game ads.

@Bering Sea: Eat At Joe's would technically be a real life advertisement too. Eat At Joe's Crabshack is a popular restaurant in areas, especially here in Michigan.

Hehe yea I thought there might be a slim chance that might come up. The Eat at Joes bit. We dont have one here in Alaska and its such a generic thing you see on TV as a fake ad. On the other hand I wouldn't mind checking out a Joes Crab Shack whenever I head down that way again.

Bikes are good fun and the night time is cool. Things got a little hairy in the early morning though when the fog set in, I could barely see.

The 'awards' are interesting too. They still have the extra 250 gamerscore to use so I wonder why they used these instead. I guess they're saving them for the Island update.

That's pretty sweet that this is free. I've been tempted to buy this... maybe this'll make me actually do it. Free DLC FTW!

I just finished downloading this update and when it finished an Error blade appeared informing me that the DLC was damaged or broken.
Anyone else having this problem?

You might want to try deleting the Cagney update if you have it. Apparently this Bike one has the Cagney built in and this can caus conflicts.

This game just keeps on giving. And all of my ingame ads are still for CompUSA, so the advertising doesn't bother me at all. :)

One of the best developers out there releases another awesome expansion pack to an already fantastic game.

LOVE IT!!

The bikes handle really well, and the day/night cycle being customizable is sweet. Look forward to working on all the new challenges and awards!

These awards makes me wish that the 360 let developers use their own "skins" for the ugly 360 notifications.

Anyway, the four bikes are brilliant and night/fog is amazing. I really can't wait for the Island, Planes and whatever other crazy things Criterion want to throw at us.

I really don't mind the fact that multiplayer costs, versus the PS3.

But the fact that, as a Silver member, I have a wait a week for free content that PS3 owners can get immediately really irritates me.

Holy crap, the bikes are fun!!!!!

Just did some freeburning with guys online and the host was setting up challenge after challenge. Some great stuff to play around with. I'm totally fucking impressed with how well they're supporting this game!

Other than Bungie, Criterion has the best community support of any developer out there, hands down. If you watch their podcasts, it's pretty easy to tell.

And the bikes are WAY cool. Much better than the ones in PGR4, IMHO.
