Ever since its release in Japan earlier this week, Pokémon Platinum has sold like ... well, like a Pokémon game. Nintendo's latest in the long-running series has sold close to a million copies (967,675, if you're looking for a specific number) in just two days of being on store shelves. Ridiculous? To say the least!
We know a lot of you outside of Japan are crazy about those pocket monsters, so who's waiting to catch 'em all?

So I am the "one in a million" :)
BTW, you used the fake boxart (Giratina in Another Forme, the old form), the real one is the one in the gallery (Giratina in Origin Forme).

"Pokemon Platinum goes Platinum" would've been a better headline IMO.

I contributed one purchase! Still waiting for my copy to arrive, though.

Why the heck would you import a Japanese copy of the game when you know full well it will be coming to other parts of the globe in a matter of months? I don't get it...
Anyway, my main comment was just that I am not going to be getting Platinum. Diamond and Pearl were very disappointing in my opinion, and so I don't see what the point would be in buying a redressed version of these two iterations.

I will eventually get Platinum when it is released in NA. so yes, I am waiting to catch 'em, but I'm in no hurry, since it's basically the same as Diamond with a few additions here and there.

Some people crave more of the same thing after its been released years. Like in Metal Slug, or Castlevania, its basically the same gameplay, but people still play it.
P.S. That caption made me laugh

That image is PURE AWESOMENESS.
I actually downloaded the game; but quit playing it because of saving confusion and lag. Plan on getting the game(obvious, according to my name) when it's released. And if possible, the day it comes out.

*raises hand* I am SO getting this when it comes out. Pearl was absolutely awesome, and I've been considering replaying it as is. Platinum will make a good excuse for a replay, especially with all the new features. (And then I don't have to delete all my freaking Pokemon, considering I have the de-evolved form of every one, sans legendaries).
