First ten people to play any one community level. That means each new community level that gets created is fair game.

no they mean that once a community level is uploaded be one of the first 10 people to play that level, so as long as people keep uploading new level you can get the trophie.

so basically ask your friend to create a community level and then play it to earn your trophy, no matter how short or fancy it's made. kinda lame for a trophy.

actually, it's kinda smart. It gets people playing and trying new levels, so if some kid has fun doing his best , but his level sucks, people will still play it, so he doesnt have to see a big 0 by level plays and get sad.

I got 33 percent of the Warhawk exp through trophies on the first 12 hours of the patch by playing pregame with someone else.

The trophy is designed essentially to get people to try games. It's fairly pointless try and get your friend to create a level so that you can beat it and get the trophy... I mean... what's the point. By the time you wait for him to make the level you could have played another level... Not a very good trade off to me. it takes atleast 5 minutes to bug, plead, ask, then wait for your friend to start, setup, create, test, save, upload, and then for you to play it...

Easier to just exploit some other level somewhere. The point of the trophies is to get people that normally wouldn't have participated in the online stuff, a chance to give it a try. Remember this game is more about the community than it is about the game. They didn't delay it for a year just to have you play the first 12 hours, finish the game, and then be kinda done and bored with it.

ah, it prevents insecure little boys from feeling bad. yeah, gotcha. that's a smart trophy right there.

nononononono you got it all wrong dude. You think the kind producers of LBP will only allow the first ten people in the world who get Little Big Planet aqquire the Platinum trophy? NO! Here is how it works: Your friend creates a community level, you be the first or among the first ten to play it. That is what the trophy means.

Andrew, any idea if "hearted" means rated or favorited? I'm sure I could trick 50 people into rating my shockingly offensive level, but getting 50 people to favorite it? Phew, that would take actual effort!

Yeah, it's favourited. Have a look at last.fm, they stole the idea from there (and good on them).

I like how they are giving people incentives to be more active in the community. All those achievement/trophy whores will give the initial boost this game needs to make sure it is a success.

It sort of rules out the fear that this game could flop due to a lack of creation from the community. Getting lots of people to heart your levels (as well as the 30% thing) makes people for quality.

I have even more respect for Media Molecule - they really seem to be maximizing the potential of this game.

These are cool, not easy, but not hard, just have to orginise your friendlist to play, play with some random people and make some good levels and you'll be fine ^_^

Some of these seem a little ridiculous, and are only in place because Media Molecule was too lazy to think of a real trophy goal.

FIRST!, Look What I made!, Crow Pleaser, Feel the Love, Celebrity, Create...these are all based on people playing your level, hearting you or your level.

Its a shallow way to distribute trophies. Developers need to stop taking the easy (aka: stupid) way out with trophies.

In order to get some of these, the level needs to become extra popular, and frankly, with so many people playing the game, how in the hell is someone other than a select handful of people ever supposed to stand out amongst the potential millions of authors? Give me a break. If anyone at Media Molecule is reading this, change this god damned thing...I WAS excited for LBP trophies, not I could care less, as I can see YOU TOO are making stupid and ludicrous trophy goals.

It actually makes sense... they're complimentary.

Also, there's trophies both for hearting and being hearted as people, trophies for hearting levels and having your levels hearted, and trophies for playing levels and getting your levels played.

It's more than sensible, it's brilliant. They're using the trophy system to drive people to get out of their shell and socialize, try out other people's levels, and make new levels.

It should balance out really well, especially if it's trivial to heart a person or level, which I expect it will be.

Looks like I might be sending out a lot of heart for heart messages, ugh.

Adam, you are missing the point. A lot of these trophies are designed to encourage people to contribute to the LBP community. It isn't being lazy, it's called encouraging people to bring out the full potential in the game.
As for your statement that it will be impossible to get a highly rated level - I think it's too early to say. Noone knows yet what the online community will be like - not even Media Molecule. I kinda think it will be crazy big, so you may be right. But then again, with that many people, it might not be hard to get 50 people to play/rate your level just cause there are that many people looking to try out anything.
Finally, I personally don't feel that trophies should necessarily but designed such that everyone can get all of them. If everyone had every trophy, how special would that be?

Play, Create, Share. The game is about those three activities, and this trophy list reflects that. I think it's an excellent list.

Trophies are ace! loving how they are trying to incorporate the trophies with a community based theme...trying to get everyone to try everything the game has to offer to ensure that the online section is strong!

I hope this platinum trophy = get every trophy doesn't become a trend. I would rather have something unique and challenging.
