Another day, another Wii Music instrument to talk about. Today's instrument is none other than the cello. And, in the video above, you can see it in action. What we'd like to know is whether or not her left hand affects the game? You see how she keeps pressing the two shoulder buttons on the Nunchuk? Is that for show or will that actually affect the music in the game?

I think it would to change the notes slightly. I'm no musical expert but even I know that the way you press the strings affects the way it sounds.

Why in the first sound clip does it sound like a cello, but in the second it sounds more like a viola and the mii who's supposed to be playing the cello... is playing a bass? (she's not seated)
This game is making me more nervous about the playability of it for people with strong music backgrounds... *was an orchestra geek for nearly all of school*

Watch out! Phantom fanboy will call you a crybaby in 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...
Oh, he must still be at school. Nevermind but let this be a lesson to you, this is Nintendoland ... a place where all opinions must be equal ... or else. WiiMusic can not be touched, it's the light of the world and all other instruments will cease to exist afterwards. All hail Nintendo, let's hope they will charge us more than a hundred dollars for the Motion+ so it feels like they achieved something.

*Witty comment in which I generalize Wii Users and disrespect their opinions by stating that everyone who bought a Wii must like everything that Miyamoto makes without exceptions. Accusations that Wii owners are little crybabies and the only ones that have a right to complain about ridiculous shovelware are PC users.*
I will continue by making a statement that identifies me as a "Next Gen" fiend and troll.
In conclusion I want to point out that I hate Nintendo but I hate Nintendo fans even more. Each one of you stinks and my opinion must be right since the voices in my head have confirmed it multiple times. I will come back every day checking articles about Wii Music to taunt those that oppose Nintendo's baby toy policy and make my balls grow larger.

This is actually the first Wii Music article where I've actually watched the video, namely because of my orchestra background. I realize the game is geared toward the casual gamers and I'm not chastising it for that reason and who knows it might surprise me when its all said and done, its just the motions and the way it [the cello] is being represented irked me a little because the cello is one of my favorite instruments. I love music and I'd love to see classical instruments get more of an opportunity to shine other than all the Guitar Hero's out there.
