GRID getting new cars, events later this year
Codemasters has dropped word that new racing machines will be pulling up to GRID's starting line later this year. The game will be getting a new DLC pack, dubbed "8-Ball," this Fall, which will add two new multiplayer events and eight new cars, including the McLaren F1 GTR, Honda S2000 and 1971 Pontiac Firebird Trans AM. Additionally, while 8-Ball's new cars and events will be released for both the Xbox 360 and PS3, the former will gain the added benefit of four new Achievements and 100 new Gamerpoints to earn. PS3 owners will have to fill their time dusting off vacant Trophy cases.
Another release, adding a V8 Supercars category and the Australian Bathurst circuit, is expected in the coming months. At this time, the Codies are tight-lipped regarding both price and an exact release date for any DLC, saying only that the first batch will drop this Fall for consoles, while PC players can expect information relevant to them to arrive "shortly."

Hmm, not sure how the DLC will work on the PC - my copy of it is through Steam...
Unless we get it free like CoD4 and Mass Effect (a man can dream :D)

I thought it said GRID: B-Ball for a second, and I thought "That's terrible, everyone knows domestics can't dunk..."

How about In game music? I love GRiD, but in game music would be the icing on the cake.

After all the free stuff for Burnout Paradise, this just seems kinda... sad.

I was going to pick up GRID for the 360 around the holidays, but now that it's got PS3 trophy goodness I'll get the PS3 version.

Will they fix the physics? I swear even with a steering wheel it's like driving on ice in this game. Sigh, I long for the days of TOCA...

I just picked up the game last night, and felt the same way. I went into the options and disabled all of the assist options, and like that a lot better.

Sweet! Grid's one of my favorite racing games and the added content will be nice. Too bad none of my friends like it. "Dude! What the hell?" They say as they make no attempt of slowing down to avoid collision with the car in front of them. "This game is too realistic. Let's play NFS Pro Street" -_-

Ooo...new content! I love GRID, so this is great news!
