Spencer at Siliconera – or old Eagle Eyes as we actually call him – stumbled upon an entry for "Metal Gear Solid Existence" during his hourly stroll through the Japanese Trademark database. The trademark was apparently registered for use with a video game (surprise!) so there's a good chance we'll see the Snake saga return under this headline. Will Kojima be back at the helm? Who knows! But with TGS around the corner, this might be a good time to start speculating wildly. Well, what're you waiting for?

Yes to a full 3D("Solid")Remake of the METAL GEAR games on NES... A huuuuuge *no* to keeping poorly translated script from those games. x_x;
And frankly, I don't care what system it's on, just as long as there's more out there. Hell, I'm not ashamed to admit I bought the Wii simply because I could play as Snake in 'BRAWL or use it to play TWIN SNAKES. It's the only way I could truly justify purchase of the console.

Call me crazy but maybe this is the title theyre going to use to port mgs 4 over to the 360. I mean they used Metal Gear Solid Substance to port it from ps2 to xbox so hopefully 360 will be getting mgs4 thatd be sssssssssweet

I have my doubts but I really hope thats the case. I loved this game and really raved about it to all my 360 buddies. None of them have PS3 so this would be excellent. MGS4 is a work of art and should not be missed by ANYONE.
Even if it is a port.

That ink work is bad-ass. And it's probably one of the only times in history that I've looked at a Game-themed tat and NOT thought "Christ, what a stupid piece of subject matter".
Kudos to you, Sean.

Out of curiosity, what would Kojima have to do to make you realise he wont port MGS4 over to the 360?
Also, Existance would be a terrible title for MGS4 as it does not fit at all.

Leave snake alone. They need to start a fresh story, with all new characters. Anyway, this sounds like a substance type re-release for MGS4 to me.

There's already a Metal Gear Solid: Existence.
In the MGS3: Subsistence PS2 special edition, a third disc was included which allowed you to watch the entire game without having to play it.

Wasn't Existence the name of the third disc in the MGS3:Subsistence package?
If it's a game it makes sense as an MGS4 enhanced version, adding in the most sorely missed feature: a movie viewer.
It's a 20 hour movie anyway! Why must they make me play to watch it again?

That picture makes no sense. Jude Law is the one who points that "bone gun" at Jennifer Jason Leigh in the movie. So how is he spooning her on the left?
Cronenberg is one of my most favorite directors, but eXistenZ was a crappy movie.

Until I read your comment, I was going to ask why someone was pointing loaded seaweed at that woman, and why Jude Law was cowering behind her.
As for Jude Law's cowering, I answered my own question.

It is another MGO expansion. It was titled as only Existence and Kojima and Payton are off the team...I do not think they all spent another month to write up some extra content.
And yea!...This makes me excited...I have been waiting for another one of these expansions to come out.

Maybe this is the "subsistence" or "substance" version of Metal Gears Solid 4. If that was the case I suppose it would be feasible for it to be a port (substance was ported to the Xbox). However, if it isn't something totally new, its probably the updated version of MGS4.

That really was the worst film ever.
Was it all real, all the game? Who the fuck cares.

If they follow the movie plot it will be less trippy than the games.

I hope it's a redone MGS4, with better story pacing, more levels, etc. I thought the final act of MGS4 was the weakest..
