Hey, that's the little spacesuit dude that couldn't make the jump in the original preview videos!
I rooted for that guy more than I did for most main characters in movies!

in space no one can hear you giggle like a school girl

Finally, a reason to dust off my PS3!
As always, only half-joking. Console fanboyism is lame, I know, but the truth is, after I finished MGS4, the machine hasn't seen more than ten hours of collective use. I like Pixeljunk Eden and flOw was pretty, but the only PS3 game I've bought since then was Disgaea 3, and that's on the shelf until I get through the grindfests that are the first two games. Been thinking about getting Burnout Paradise now that it's at a reasonable price (and has a literal f%#$ton of free DLC), but then again, I might get the 360 version instead.
(For the record, the last three months have been spent on the DS with FFTA2 and more recently on the 360 with Rock Band 2 and Bionic Commando.)
I really hope LBP does as well as it's been hyped to do, because the constructable levels are an interesting concept and SackBoy is adorable.

I dusted off your mom's PS3.
No really!
Dirty @ Sep 19th 2008 1:35PM
Cant wait to see if it lives up to the hype. Ill probably be too busy playing Fable 2.
343 Guilty Fart @ Sep 19th 2008 1:41PM
Spaceman, I always wanted you to go into space maaaaan!!!
Where's the fastforward button so I can skip the next month??
J.Goodwin @ Sep 19th 2008 2:13PM
I'll be glad when LPB is finally out because I can stop hearing the media spooge about it.

Can't wait for people to remember level editors are freakin' boring.
Cutty @ Sep 19th 2008 2:41PM
Well then it's a good job you can play other users' levels if you don't want to make your own.

Sony finally has a mascot they can put all of their marketing minds behind. Crash was ok, but he didn't appeal to everyone (neither did the games). But this game has (mostly)everyone excited. Sony would be stupid not to make this their Offical Mascot. I myself enjoy the little rascal...Vivi la SackBoy

The countdown begins to what could be one of the most revolutionary games this generation.
MrBimble @ Sep 19th 2008 2:19PM
yay!
Duke @ Sep 19th 2008 2:23PM
If I saw that thing walking down the street at me I would piss myself and cry.
Hashbrown Hunter @ Sep 19th 2008 7:33PM
...from the excessive amounts of cuteness?

Odd that the only two non-WiiDS games that i'm interested in this year are coming out on the same day
Like a sign, almost. But there's no PS3 in my dorm, even if i were so inclined to give LBP a rent
Hell, i might give Fable 2 a rent (since Wario is supposed to be short, and the next game Sonic Unleashed doesn't come 'till mid November), though it doesn't strike me as the kind of game that could be fully experienced in a rental period
Sesur @ Sep 19th 2008 4:15PM
Can't wait for this friggin' game! It just sucks that fallout 3 comes out exactly one week later. F3 will consume me for some time...
Marmot @ Sep 19th 2008 7:23PM
I don't understand this whole 'most revolutionary game' label people (fanboys) seem to be giving it. Sure it might be a lot of fun and the level editor could be interesting (or boring and fiddly we'll see) but it's still a side scrolling platformer, creative flash developers have been exploring what this genre can do for years.
Grim @ Sep 20th 2008 8:32PM
And way before anything else I can remember... I spent many hours creating deadly levels on Wizard for the Commodore64. Also a platformer that included a powerful level designer.

that little Sackboy is the only reason im getting the game :D
Manji Ninja @ Sep 19th 2008 10:48PM
Funny tha the game was developed in my home town in the UK, but us Brits will get the game after the US. If only i could just convince the staff of a local game vendor to sell me a copy early...
SoCoolCurt (PSN: KillaKornbread) @ Sep 19th 2008 11:58PM
spacesuit sackboy=mega awesomeness
Tasogare @ Sep 20th 2008 10:41AM
God I wish I knew what the point of this game was.
Nguyen @ Sep 22nd 2008 8:43AM
So the spaceman is when you buy the game during launch week... then what if you already preordered it with Gamestop or Bestbuy? Also, could someone remind me which one gets you which character again?
