He's actually pretty smart. He cant get any other VG franchise, so he makes his own. Skilled or not, that's ingenuity and persistence I wish I had.

So is this a game based on a movie, or a movie based on a game? Or is it all just based on a bad idea?

Also, just to make sure it gets said: "Uwe Boll making a movie without a script? What's new?"

I agree. Is Uwe ever going to be man enough to learn how to write an interesting sentence? I’m stunned by how poorly that was drafted.

Really? I thought the outdoor environments looked pretty good.

I am sure the writing in the game will be horrible if Uwe is involved. God....the guy must have an extra chromosome or something.

I'm not exactly with you on that, but I have recently gained some respect for Uwe when I recently saw a documentary called "Heckler" that Jamie Kennedy made to deal with his depression and self loathing that he experienced after Son of Mask came out.

In Heckler, they lumped critics and hecklers in the same group and they showed portions of Uwe's boxing matches with several of his critics. He beat the living crap out one so bad that there was footage of him out in front the venue puking in the street and curled up on the sidewalk.

You've got to respect people who stand up for their creations and beliefs to that extent... even when they're wrong.

Well at least he's not ruining a real game franchise with this. Postal was an affront to cinema. In the Name of the King was just funny though. Jason Stathom fighting the equivalent of putties.

This looks no more inspired than the other dozen FPS coming this winter.

Boll gets treated too harshly. With the material he works with he does a decent job.

Yeah, but why does he choose the the material he does?

And I think we can agree that some of his stuff, could have turned into a pretty cool flick in the hands of another director.

Ah Uwe Boll, the 1 reason I wish the Nazi still ran Germany. Because lets face it they would have dragged him out back and shot him years ago.

I didn't expect that point to be paradoxical. In all seriousness there isn't anything funny about execution at the hand of the Nazis....but then again, in all seriousness, there isn't anything funny about Uwe Boll either.

Is it me or do the graphics actually look pretty decent. Nice lighting, explosions, vegetation. Even the player movement wasn't so bad. The title sucks and the subtitles were bad as well. I guess we'll see.

Well I do have to agree on the lighting but if you look closely you can see that there are literally walls made of vegitation that give you a tunnel feel even in the jungle. And the rest of the game can be as good as it gets when that is the level design, they fail.

Crysis is the de-facto standard for jungle environments (at least until Far Cry 2 comes out) and I personally won't accept less. Especially nothing that will fund this guys company to enable him to make even more crap movies. No thanks.

If movies can be direct-to-DVD, can a game be direct-to-bargain-bin?

If so, I might buy this for $7.95. I'll stay on the look-out at Wal-Mart.
