Do you guys think the "\ RECEPIENT: PROWLER “TOKYO RULES” [COMM.DUTY.OFFICER]" line hints an announcement at TGS08 in october?

"Tokyo Rules" is a UNSC Prowler, there's a duty officer on board communicating with the Superindendent.

I'm confused. If it is, indeed, a new map pack or expansion pack, what the heck does "Keep It Clean" have to do with that? Every time I read that saying, the only thing that comes to mind is to keep the language and behavior clean within the game environment.

I'm doubting they would do this for a new map pack or an expansion pack. This has to be their next game and I get the feeling it is a game set in the Halo universe but having nothing to do with Master Chief.

This better be a new game and not some over priced crappy map pack after all this hype.

who knows what the announcement is going to be. My guess is a new game. Halo in my opinion is getting tired.

Considering the top line reads: UNSC OFFICE OF NAVAL INTELLIGENCE. Its safe to assume its Halo related.

Lets hope something actually gets announced this time, instead of creating needless hype.

My guess is they will give more details about the new banning system. 'Keep it clean' sounds like they want Halo 3 to be fair and no cheaters, they want it clean. But these 'details' will be very shocking to the halo community hence the hype.

I hope I'm wrong :P. But they better say something quick because I'm getting pissed off at waiting. Maybe something will get said on the 23rd, when the update and new banning system is meant to be released?

oh hang on, maybe they are just hyping up the 23rd considering the banning system will get actived on then.

Well, I played Halo 1 again the other day, and i noticed on the walls on the first level and that there are posters that say "Keep It Clean". Not sure what to make of it tho. Like, by saying that for their next project, does that hint where they are going?

Yeah this Superintendent seems to have lots of Halo 1 related quotes, for example one of the old wallpapers when he first came around was 'Hitchhikers may be escaping convicts' which was a Halo 1 Mission...

Hm... maybe a Halo and Halo 2 rerelease using the Halo 3 physics and graphics engines? That could certainly be interesting...

It's not a Halo 1 and 2 rerelease and I'll tell you why. Just ask yourself, why would they do that when we have Halo 3, the third and final game in the trilogy. Halo 1 and 2 are a part of the past now, we won't be seeing these rereleased until the time Halo 3 is ready to be rereleased. Which probably won't be for a long time.

i have an idea, what if it's a humorous game set during the same times as halo 1 2 and 3? except not following the chief, following the SI? and he's constantly helping out the chief in the background without him knowing?

i'd buy that :-p

and i agree that the tokyo thing probably hints at TGS for the reveal... does this mean we can expect rare's announcement then too?

I cant remember their names, but theres a group of superheros who clean up the battles after REAL superheros, you just never saw them in the real comics, so maybe you play superintendent and have to go cleaning up dead bodies and broken scarabs. Haha, i dunno.

I would bet the announcement will come at Tokyo Game Show....that's where Microsoft announced Halo Wars 2 years ago.....I sure would like some info on that Peter Jackson project cause I haven't heard a thing about it since that same Tokyo Game Show........oh yeah and how did Harvey Dent get into this thread? I just don't understand people sometimes............

ok so i just popped over to the bungie.net website and had a look at this newest hint from bungie, first off: how can anyone get a new game out of that? don't you guys remember the article that the 360 fanboys threw down that had bungie telling all of us to pump the breaks and calm down? it's not a new game! but what it looks like and from the conversation between the superintendent and the unsc office is that when you report someone for anything, eg. swearing, profanity bla bla bla they have a new system in place to actually look into it somehow as the whole conversation seems to be with bungie throwing that part in there about the "profanity"

I don't think this will be a new game announcement. Considering the fact that Halo 3 itself was announced May 9, 2006(which is more than 1.5 years after the release of Halo 2(Nov 9 2004) and the announcement was at a major event E3). Only one year difference in between a new halo announcement and release of Halo 3 makes me skeptical. However, what else can they announce at this level of hype that they have created around this. I really doubt its going to be a map pack or BanHammer or any update in Halo 3. Perhaps Peter Jacksons project? the movie(though that should most likely come from Microsoft themselves)?
