PS3's much-anticipated LittleBigPlanet will not ship with the online co-op create mode, according to Sony's official US forums. The feature will be added with the "first major update" of the game after launch, but no indication was given as to when we can expect said update.
The four-player co-op will still be online and four-player level creation will still be possible -- as long as everyone is sitting in the same room. LBP is slated for release globally at the end of October.

people should only have a complaint if they were were later going to charge for this DLC and not release it later as a free game patch update.
i bet most of the complainers wont even play this game, so their comments dont really matter at all.
how do u make somebody happy anymore..
it sounds like a 50gb game for $ 60 and more data and game features will be added at a later date...
let me guess the complainers or posters had no complaints on spending $ 60 for 9gb of halo 3 or gears of war and then probably didnt even complain about spending $ 10 - $ 20 more on DLC for the games...
come on people they say this game is 50gb... thats a lot of stuff inside.
and i dont think im even buying this game myself..

I agree with you Matt (add me on PSN btw) -
The complainers probably were not going to buy it anyway. Just a free jab at Sony - Sad actually. this game is full of high resolution textures that they created for us to make levels with. Let's not get out the pitchforks and torches because this one online mode will be added free via a patch after release (shortly hopefully).
I can't wait for this game and it won't stop me from enjoying it. There is so much content available that even if the delay were 60 days it wouldn't matter that much to me.

We must be reading different articles Marty... where, in any of that, did it refer to it as DLC? In fact, it specifically says, ""first major update."
Update = Patch
You might wanna take those fanboy glasses off so you can read the words on the screen.

God it's going to be incredibly funny when this game is exposed for the cheap gimmick that is...
All hype very little substance. That's LBP summed up.

azure- honestly i agree with you IMO. i dont see this game being that great.
however i feel all the hype and marketing and console bundling will help make this the highest selling ps3 game yet.
i also feel that millions of people will enjoy the game a lot, i just dont understand why myself.
just not looking like my type of game.

Oh there's no doubt at all matt about the game sales wise...
It will do extremely well. It will move some systems for sony. But ultimately I just don't think it will truly be as great as sony fanboys are hoping it will be.
The amount of attention though that sony is giving it shows just how desperate they are for it to be a success.
The question is just how many people will actually be happy with the product they've bought.
Like you I just honestly don't see what makes this game so "special". The graphics are pretty and the abundance of pretty colors (which goes against the trend of dark colors from FPS) is all that sets this game apart from other games...

No problem sony fanboy...
It's all been said before in this article.
What's laughable is how you sony fanboys are trying to defend this...

vid- that does get really annoying..
somebody who has no interest in playing a game for a particular system has the need to then come and give their 2 cents about that game.
why do they care? why do they care that a game that doesnt interest them, seems to interest so many others?
same thing happened with too human and infinite undiscovery and many other games where an internet review or articles sparked the comments of so many people for no good reason...

What makes something fun is usually going to be described differently by every person you ask. What "fun" is itself is something that is likely to elicit different responses from different people.
I have a group of friends that comes over on a somewhat regular basis. We're all gamers, so that's what we tend to do. We seek out games that are fun to play as a group. LBP looks like an entertaining platformer for four guys to sit around and play. It may actually be lacking in substance, as you think it will, but that's not to say it won't be conducive to good times. Hell, more than half the fun we have when we get together to game is really just spending time together and BSing, whether it's during a game of Castle Crashers, Rock Band, D&D, or Munchkin. The game is often just the backdrop. But that's just what works for us; it might be an entirely different story for you and your friends.
By the way, I'm in no way a Sony fanboy. I don't even own a PS3 (I'll be using my roommates to play this), but I'm buying the game as well as extra controllers so all of us can play. So even if the game is just a "cheap gimmick", I'm very confident I'll be getting my money's worth of entertainment out of it and that so will the (likely) very large number of people who will end up buying it.
I'm not trying to change your mind about the game, just trying to provide a little insight as to why this game isn't as bad as you seem to think it is when looked at from a perspective different from your own (mine, in this particular case).

I'm getting this game on day one, but it's really dumb when people mention it's value just because it fills up a Blu-Ray. The devs already stated its filled up by audio tutorials. YAY. Tutorials. Seriously..

no i dont agree with that at all..
what do you call halo 3 and gears ? those games received so much hype from microsoft..
hype is not about being desperate its about making more money.
"The question is just how many people will actually be happy with the product they've bought."
well considering how many people like the wii console, i bet most will actually like this game too.
"is all that sets this game apart from other games..."
what about the part of making your own levels and game and sharing with the community users?
this game is original i give it that.

I'd really like to play this game even though I kinda suck at creating levels, but maybe something will hit me. I still have some trouble making stages in Brawl :P

Given that the 4 Player Online Co-Op Editor was one of the primary selling points of the game to me.....
Looks like I will have to wait till they release that 1st update/patch until I purchase....and it'll probably be cheaper or in the used bin by that point
No big whoop.....there are tons of new games coming to swallow my dollar in the meantime.

The co-op just sounded frustrating to me. I mean if it's with friends cool, but what about that one person that wants to be a jerk and deletes every piece you add? That's gotta be annoying.
