There are five pieces in total, with the first two modes, namely "Proto Man Mode" and "Endless Attack," scheduled to arrive on October 6th or 200 Wii Points and 300 Wii Points, respectively. The plans also reveal "Hero Mode," "Special Stage" and "Superhero Mode" due on October 20th. LoL... Superhero Mode = MM1 Style
MowDownJoe @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:26PM
Or Hero Mode and Superhero mode could be harder difficulties. Which will mean you'll need balls of steel to beat them.
Also, no Bass Mode = :(
BPMOmega [gamertag] @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:42PM
Not yet, at least. They did say they had DLC planned for a year... or something like that.
nightmare452 @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:16PM
Ok, now that is just Capcom trying to take the money out from fans.
You could have just priced the game higher and included this. Or offer a bundle. I hate companies that do games and prepare DLC before a game comes out. Its like the hold back stuff on purpose.
Grammar freak @ Sep 22nd 2008 4:37PM
Wait a second... a company, trying to 'take' money from its consumers? Holy shit, we've discovered capitalism!!!
playwhutyalike (trying to lure out Mr. ESC) @ Sep 22nd 2008 5:02PM
The only problem with with the higher price is that everyone would still bitch and cry about it.
Fernando Rocker @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:17PM
I'm just going to buy the Proto Man Mode. =p
Roto13 @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:44PM
It's so retarded that you get voted down for no reason.
deaftly @ Sep 22nd 2008 4:07PM
Guitarded even
Al2x @ Sep 22nd 2008 4:08PM
Besides the fact that his name is Fernando Rocker, I would come to believe that he got voted down because he's agreeing to spend $2 on a character skin that should be included in the game. Furthermore, supported Capcom's retarded idea of charging for a skin.
baby sea tuna @ Sep 22nd 2008 4:24PM
That's why I voted him down anyway.
DangerMouse @ Sep 22nd 2008 4:36PM
Crap, i voted him down because everyone else was.
:(
Dirty @ Sep 22nd 2008 4:43PM
Because he is purchasing 8-bit horse armor.
Roto13 @ Sep 22nd 2008 5:15PM
Proto Man actually plays different from Mega Man, so it's not a skin or horse armour.
So what if Fernando is going to spend the two dollars? It's price gouging, but if he wants to be gouged, who cares? I'm probably going to buy it, too. (But those extra modes can kiss my ass.)
TFoK (Naked Peach Defense Force) @ Sep 22nd 2008 7:05PM
I voted him down because he's Fernando and that's what we do over here at HiveMindStiq.
I'm buying Proto Man also, because #1 it's two bucks, I could sift through my sofa and find that kind of change, and #2 because, yeah, it's lame that it wasn't included to begin with, but something that amounts to a few more replays of the game for $2 is worth it to me. Big whoop.
Vegeta (aka Ska Oreo) @ Sep 22nd 2008 8:06PM
To be fair, can't you say the exact same thing about almost every other DLC? And yet I don't see anyone bitching about paying for levels, character skins, weapons etc that are found in other games(and are usually much more expensive). And besides it's only $2.00.
Vegeta (aka Ska Oreo) @ Sep 22nd 2008 8:08PM
Having said that though. Paying for different difficulties is fucking low. Seriously. That's something you should fucking unlock. Not buy.
Roto13 @ Sep 22nd 2008 9:27PM
"To be fair, can't you say the exact same thing about almost every other DLC? And yet I don't see anyone bitching about paying for levels, character skins, weapons etc that are found in other games(and are usually much more expensive)."
I see it all the time, and I agree with it. Having new costumes downloadable the day of Soul Calibur IV's release was stupid.
Raikage (Mr. ESC? Mr. ESC? MR. ESSSSSSCCCCCC!) @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:18PM
Couldn't they just wait a month and give it all to us... for the price of the game?
Fenix @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:26PM
What exactly happened to MR. ESC?
Fernando Rocker @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:29PM
He was banned. And then he created a new account and started bashing a lot of readers and he would stop bashing until Joystiq un-baned his old account.
Pero ya no lo he visto loco... no se que pasaria con el. Ya tiene como una semana que no entra.
Zorink @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:31PM
I've been wondering the same thing. Did Mr. Hansen finally catch him?
Mr Khan @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:37PM
There was an article about the movie e@thletes, in which somebody made some remarks about pro-gamers, Mr. ESC had a history as a pro-gamer, and felt rather strongly about those remarks. He then proceeded to verbally tear said person a new cornhole, which caught him his initial banning
Then his Ghost came. All the rest of that day (and some of the next, i can't quite remember) he kept screaming "Rez? Come on, Rez! Rezzz!" in the most annoying way, which i can imagine only got him in deeper.
i don't think he deserved it, personally.
Titanium_Orchid @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:39PM
He wasn't really bashing users in his second account, and I don't think his first banning was really warrented.
Here is the link to the article in which he went crazy:

Here is his second account, he is the user "Ghost" its pretty funny:

"But since I have not seen crazy ... is not that happen to him. Already have a week that does not come."
Gotta love Google Translate!
xGeneral DEATHx @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:42PM
THAT was what he got banned for? I thought maybe he ended up getting cornered by Chris Hansen+Crew for looking remarkably like Chris Hansen.
Fernando Rocker @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:47PM
lol =p
Is something like this:
"But I haven't seen him, "loco" (refering to Fenix, kinda like "dude")... I don't know what happened to him. It's been like a week since he posted here."
xGeneral DEATHx @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:53PM
I miss the ol' chap, I really do...despite some broken English here and there, that guy could really make you laugh.
Mr. Nimblewick: I'll play with your kids.
Mr. ESC: Why don't you have a seat over here, Mr. Nimblewick.
Fenix @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:57PM
Wow... :(
I miss him. Cool and funny guy indeed. Thats not right, I dont think it was warranted AT ALL. He had posts numbering 5000k+++ If that doesn't deserve some slack then I dont know what does.
*Pours out a little liqour for homie
tmacairjordan87 @ Sep 22nd 2008 4:03PM
Wow Mr. Esc really self destructed on those 2 articles, specially his "Ghost" account. Man...ya hate to see that happen to a joystiq veteran.
Fenix @ Sep 22nd 2008 4:19PM
Kinda sad cuz even after all my trolling and all I used to do heavily...Ive never been banned. Funny thing is I made an account on Kotaku just for shits and giggles and it didn't even last a week cuz I kept hating on the ghey letter posts between Crecente and Ashcraft. lol!
Thats right bastards, those letters are TEH GHEY!!!
tmacairjordan87 @ Sep 22nd 2008 4:28PM
Yeah the first article I didn't find what he said all that bad. Don't want to jinx myself, but I'm sure I've said worse things than that before and I too haven't yet been banned *knocks on wood*.
Jakka(A tribute to whose who fought and failed during the Epic Flamewar of L.A. Noir) @ Sep 22nd 2008 5:15PM
Speaking of bans, I've been banned five times out of which I only know the reasons for three of them(Criticising the comment system,Posting a Goatse link and having a really fat go at somebody for being a cruel dickhead.).
Good ol' Joystiq targeting the wrong people since 2007!
Cody @ Sep 22nd 2008 5:44PM
Yea I was banned once. Just liek the Gators are gonna be banend from the SEC for being TOO DAMN GOOD!!! GO GATORS!!!
What up Fenix?!?

Developers dance as dorky douches devour deplorable downloadables.
Kyattsuai @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:21PM
2 blocks... 3 blocks... how much data is that? Particularly, is it an unlock or actual downloadable data? If it's the latter, I could understand the microtransactions because of the Wii's limited space, but if you're downloading a bunch of data initially that you may never use, then take up space with these unlock keys, that's terrible on multiple levels.
Mr Khan @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:30PM
The easiest math to do is that 512 MB = 3868 Blocks, which sets you back about 132 KB per block
Totaling around 2, 3 MB for all of this DLC altogether
DangerMouse @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:21PM
Add-on's suck. I'll pass altogether. thanks.
Mike @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:22PM
So what I'm taking away from this is that someone at capcom enjoys masturbating into a large pile of your money. This is one of those examples of the dark side of DLC. Note the worst offender by far, but not good. Not good at all.
Mike @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:23PM
note = not.
bm @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:24PM
Holy fucking jesus. Paying twice for extra difficulty modes? Holy fucking christ on a stick.

Mike @ Sep 22nd 2008 3:26PM
They are actually charging for additional levels of difficulty. I just wanted to type that for myself to see how it felt.... I feel dirty now.
Seriously, this is some messed up DLC. I was kinda on the fence about this game. Now I'll definitely be avoiding it. Way to go Crapcom.
Eggman @ Sep 22nd 2008 6:31PM
Avoiding an entire game because of optional content is probably one of the dumbest things I've ever heard.
Trust me, the game is already plenty hard. Complaining about optional difficulties that would probably just frustrate you and all these other people beyond belief and make you complain even more is absolutely retarded.
It's simple. Buy the game and *gasp* don't get the optional stuff! My god.
Mike @ Sep 22nd 2008 6:35PM
My problem with it is for an 8-bit game I'm paying ten dollars. I'm not against that idea simply because it had a low dev cost - if it's a good game, the I'll pay the ten bucks. What I have a problem with is that for $10 I'm not even getting a complete game. Optional difficulty settings are standard in just about every game that's come out in the past decade. I'm avoiding the game because now I find things that should be in the game are going to be DLC instead. That's a low move, especially for a game that has a low cost of development to begin with. It's greedy, and I'm objecting to that sort of greed by avoiding not only the DLC, but the entire product.
