Is this coming to the PS3 as well
I don't know where, but I THINK I remember reading that this was supposed to be a 360 exclusive.

I believe you are correct.

"Ubisoft confirmed that the next Splinter Cell title, the installment after Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Double Agent, will be exclusive to Xbox 360, a testament to the ability of the powerful next-gen game console to deliver experiences no other console can match."

I fail to see how Sam Fisher is emo..

Wow, is this Spiderman 3 all over again, or am I actually defending a character against the emo tag again?

Sam Fisher is not emo at all. No make-up, no straightened/black dyed hair, he's old and has a beard.

Spider-Man, on the other hand... (//_o) !

Apparently having a neatly trimmed beard and a hairstyle befitting that of a model off of cosmo, classifies him as emo.

outside of MGS4 (which was every facsimile of the meaning of "phenomenal"), i've historically preferred Splinter Cell games over Metal Gear; it was basically down to the style of control. from what little i'd seen of Conviction it wasn't tickling my fancy much (especially after the slightly above mediocre Double Agent). hopefully these "changes" Ubisoft are implementing turn out worthwhile.

I think that if they keep the emo stuff there should be a 25% chance that when you use your knife you instead cut your wrists and start whining about some obscure childhood drama.

Splinter cell makes my winkie hard....
I'm gonna buy double agent and beat it again:/

oh and the reason they're redoing the gameplay beacause they were using the assasins creed engine before creed released....now the gMe may have sold phenominally but I read somewhere the engine was not working for what they wanted in conviction so they are building a new engine from scratch

The problem is the shaggy teenager hair. The beard is a staple of manliness worn by such rugged barbarians like the Green Arrow, Tom Selleck, my dad for like a month, and of course Chewbacca.

Haha! I lol'ed. Well done sir. I think the beard is fine. Even the hair is fine. Keeping in mind that he's trying to evade those who know what he looks like, this is a typical method for such evasion.

I am willing to give my left nut to play the new Splinter Cell. Despite the fact that Double Agent wasn't the best Splinter Cell, I have probably completed it over 6x. These games are just epic.

To agree with one of the commentators above, I must say that I prefer Splinter Cell over MGS to some degree as well. It probably has something to do with the fact that in parts, MGS's take on humor just pulls me out of the game.

However, the gravity of the Splinter Cell stories keep you pulled in. One of the best game series IMHO.
