Sonic's creator teases something new

Ms. Naka: Janene, has Sonic seemed a bit ... off to you?
Janene: Why, how do you mean? Sure, he's a little rambunctious, but --
Ms. Naka: No, it's more than that. He's spinning around town with the wrong crowd, he pawned all my gold rings to buy, well, other gold rings ...
Janene: No! His own mother's rings?!
Ms. Naka: It's true. Ever since Prope -- you know, Yuji's studio? -- put up that teaser image about a new game it's going to reveal in 17 days, Sonic's just been completely out of control!
Janene: Oh, Doris, that's perfectly natural. Yuji created Sonic, and now he's making something new. The little blue guy's just afraid he won't be the favorite any more.
Ms. Naka: ... Oh, God, are you joking? We haven't loved him for years. Did you not play Sonic and the Secret Rings?

I don't get why people hate Naka so much. He did a decent job of trying to make a 3D Sonic, despite his ego problems. It was when Takashi Iizuka increasingly got more control over the series that the games started to suck.

Adventure 2? Iizuka. (Don't try disputing this. The knuckle stages were crap and it started the "Run forward over a pit" school of Sonic stages.) Heroes? Iizuka. Shadow? Iizuka. 06? Iizuka. Nights:JoD? Iizuka. (I know its not Sonic, but still).

I liked secret rings too. The controls weren't perfect, but once you upgraded them it was very fun.

Regardless of whether or not you liked Secret Rings, can't everyone agree that Sonic the Hedgehog (360) was way worse and, as such, is more entitle to being the reason the Nakas hate Sonic?

Ech. Even i didn't like that, and i felt that Shadow the hedgehog was passable, just with a horrid story

Sonic 2006 had the core gameplay, but with horrid load-times and an even worse story (unless you're the kind that likes human-anthro furry action)
