Rock Band portable drum kit is not 'NunchukPlus'
While it looks like one helluva Wiimote attachment, this gangly peripheral is actually a portable Rock Band (or more appropriately, Rock Band 2) drum kit made by Mad Catz for Xbox 360. So no, we won't be flailing the loose ends about as we race our karts through Moo Moo Meadows. We're told the pads must be laid flat, like on a sturdy coffee table (best not glass) -- or in our case: the unpaid intern's back, or better, draped over his neck like some gaudy Jesus piece -- and repeatedly smashed to the beat of the on-screen cues. We're currently testing the "designed to withstand over 1 million strikes" certification, though the same intern has begun to complain that his wrist hurts. To which we reply: "Dude, stop hitting yourself." (Yeah, we're evil like that.)
The "Official Rock Band Portable Drum Kit for Xbox 360" is currently in limbo on GameShark for $59.99 (and Buy.com for $10 less).

You can put the pads on the floor and pretend to be Gregory Hines!

It's not 'NunchuckPlus'... it's just plain stupid.

If I took Rock Band to friend's house's I think this would be great! But my house is kind of the gaming hub for this game. So I will not personally be purchasing this. At least the kick pedal wouldn't break every month or so though

looks pretty flimsy to me.

Doesn't look like it will snap in half like the one that comes with Rock Band 1

Or you could lie it on top of your DDR pad and play two games at once!
Whee?

Cool. Definitely worth trying.

How good are the assumed adhesive surfaces on the bottom of the pads? I don't want them to move around on the table as I would use them.

I have a better idea. Instead of buying that over-priced $299 ION drum crap, this is mod heaven LOL. When I get my real electric kit, I can just slap this on top of it (unless the real trigger pads can plug into that base unit). Or I could built a DIY kit. ;)

I wonder if that piece in the middle can be used for arcade games like street fighter or pacman?

Looks just like a classic controlled

I think you might be onto something. As long as it only uses the directional pad and four face buttons, I'm sure this would work.
Crazy thing is, that actually looks like a decent d-pad as well.
