AlterEgo @ Sep 25th 2008 4:43PM
Oh, and GEON isn't called GEON: Emotions anymore.
It's just GEON.
AlterEgo @ Sep 25th 2008 4:46PM
Or at least that's what a dev said on a site yesterday.
Apparently, nobody got the memo.

Hi guys,
We don't have a firm release date from our publishers yet - should know more this week, but we're hoping it'll be sometime in the next few weeks.
We've worked really hard on this PS3 version, I think you'll all like it, and it's a lot different to the XBLA version - we've made loads of improvements over the original.
For those of you who've not heard of Geon before (we're not calling it Geon:Emotions anymore!), in a nutshell it's an arcade sports game - you've got to score 5 goals before your opponent, and to do that you've got to beat them at collecting the pellets on your grid.. sounds easy? Well that's where the powerballs come in- you can use them to stop your opponent getting the lead!
The game is all about playing one-on-one competition and thanks to Sony's free matchmaking PSN services it's got loads of 2 and 4 player online modes that you can play right away ! You can also play splitscreen if you're not online!
You don't have to play online or with someone though, there's also minigames, time attack and single player league mode, so hopefully something for everyone!
There's a linky to pretty things here:

Says it's called Geon Emotions in the PS Store.
Omnidoom @ Sep 25th 2008 4:44PM
WipEout HD is only $9.99?
Could have sworn it was $19.99... I hope I'm wrong.
sk8monroe81 @ Sep 25th 2008 4:49PM
it says $ 20 on this webpage.
j.howlett @ Sep 25th 2008 4:52PM
i remember when i had the space to download every demo, trailer, and wallpaper in the psn store week to week. i really got to get on procuring a larger drive.
Albanian_Killa @ Sep 25th 2008 4:55PM
Am I mistaken or wasn't the Mirror's Edge demo supposed to be out today? I'm really disappointed because I wanted to try it out... Great update though :)
DangerMouse @ Sep 25th 2008 5:00PM
There was a misinterpretation somewhere. They're allowing pre-orders today, and the demo will come out some other time.

Certainly has made me a happy bunny.
Roto13 @ Sep 25th 2008 5:19PM
Buy Mega Man 9.
Do it.
Shadow Hog @ Sep 25th 2008 8:01PM
Agreed. I've been playing the Wii version a damn lot this week, and you PS3 owners should do the same. Really awesome title.
Same goes for the 360 owners next week. Just play the damn game, whatever your console.
Sheppy (of the Fidlious Clan of Wong) @ Sep 25th 2008 11:32PM
I played the demo while waiting for Wipeout HD to download. I do have to say this. It is hard. But of course when the respawn rates of the birds with rocks is twice as fast as the egg droppers, the pit blaster characters now spawn as many as four in a single trip, and of course no checkpoint until AFTER the three elephants, how can it not be hard? Oh, I know...
HOW ABOUT I GET SLIDE AND CHARGE SHOT BACK?!? Seriously, this game shouldn't BE labeled Megaman 9. It should be Megaman 2.5. Especially since moves which he's had SINCE Megaman 3 are now an extra $2.
The sad part? You guys are totally supporting this, and encouraging them to do more of it in the future...
Roto13 @ Sep 25th 2008 11:36PM
Damn right I am! It's an awesome game. The challenge is a big part of the appeal. The lack of a charge shot encourages using your special weapons. (I managed to beat it last night. It was the most accomplished I've felt about beating a game in years.)
DangerMouse @ Sep 26th 2008 12:34AM
I've played through the demo 4 or 5 times, and it's great. Never played any other Mega Man game though (some how i missed out back during the NES days). I'll probably cave eventually.
Roto13 @ Sep 26th 2008 12:37AM
There's always the Mega MAn Anniversary Collection. (Though don't get the Game Cube version. The controls are wonky.)
Maverick.6Cents @ Sep 25th 2008 5:54PM
Lolz.
This update is pretty hefty. Can't wait to get home to watch Made of Honor, in HD. Oh Patrick Dempsy... your my everything. :Hugz:
