With the web positively on fire about the Keep It Clean teaser trailer released by Bungie this morning, we thought we'd give the video a once (and twice, and thrice) over and deliver to you our own analysis. This isn't some kind of lame picture analysis either. Nope, this here is one of them fancy video analysis ... um ... videos. Find out everything you need to know but are too busy to find out on your own by watching our detailed video analysis.

the last pod isnt a ODST drop pod if you go frame by frame it clearly has a windshield which the drop pods do not. it looks more like the lifeboat from halo 1 that you crash in.
I agree with David, while it looks like the last one has a windshield, so do all the rest. So either they're all ODST drop pods, or all something else. . .but the last one is the same as the ones coming in during the blast.
Hmmm I'm going with that last drop pod being a spartain, although I would love it to be a ODST. GREAT Video analysis guys, I'm an extreme fanboy and I didn't pick up on being able to see Truth's ship in the first scene & the date in those cyptic messages.
MasterChief-"wake me when you need me". Cortana- "Um chief uhh you gotta wake up the ODST'S just landed on a city and are taking over they need you!" MasterChief-"Damn I just went to sleep can these people do anything on there own?!"
lol good news so once we beat this add on there will be an ending that is going to lead on to Halo 4!
David, you don't know anything about Halo. If you would have read the books you would know that John is not the only Spartan, he is simply one of many. There are at least five other Spartans still alive inside of the planet Onyx plus four others that were missing on a mission. There is a good possibility that the main character on this is one of those other four Spartans.
Thanks for assuming I know nothing or that I have not read the books.
I was not implying that he is the only Spartan, simply that he is the Spartan that the games surround. Adding another spartan, as an expansion would be incredibly stupid. So much story has to go with the other Spartan that it'd be hard to achieve that with an expansion. Not to mention there was NO talk of another Spartan when MC returned from Delta Halo on the Ark. You would think that when MC landed on earth he would have heard about another Spartan.
I am interjecting my opinion, take it or leave it.
Dude, please look in the address bar of your web-browser. Notice the part after "xbox360" and before the ".com"? That's the bit that totally justifies this kind of content.
you missed the "Flood Zone" text when the thing reinitializes though, even if you found the Maddie thing :) I think "flood zone" might be a more important clue.
The flood does not reach earth until the events of Halo 3. Not to say you won't see it in the game, but keep in mind that the 'superintendent' is most likely the AI for New Mombasa, and he is throwing up random warnings, etc. Flood zone means flood zone (think water).
It was put in there for a reason, don't get me wrong, but given when this event takes place, I'd be very surprised if this expansion has The Flood (not water) in it.
Im fairly certain that what the maddie refference is. Lets face it the halo 2 trailer had the ilovebees.com address appear in it... Doesnt have to be anything to do with Halo.
It seems to me the sup (superintendent) is an AI like Cortana that is malfunctioning. That why we get all the messages flashed. It Looks like there is still more to do in good ol New Mombasa. I have a sneaky feeling this is another take on what was going on in new mombasa when all hell broke loose. Could they be reinforcements for Master Chief? If thats is the case I would not hold out hope for another spartan. This may be a squad based game that has been circulating in rumors since Halo:CE. A squad of ODST Hell Jumpers. My Best guess anyway.
Except I don't think they are reinforcements for MC as he leaves in that explosion (that was Regret's ship that jumped in the city from the Halo 2 cut scene)
I think they are ODST's that are coming into the city to hold off the Covenant assault.
The Maddie, where are you thing is a referance to Madelline Mcann the girl who got lost in portugal. Remebber her? Her parents got paid all that money for no reason? Me niether. Any way thats what i think it is.
I remember reading about a lot of the similarities between the Halo storyline and the original Marathon storyline. Taking a cue from that, maybe Superintendent is achieving rampancy (like Tycho did)?
And maybe the ODST troops are dropping in to shut it down...
I played about 15 minutes of Halo 1 and watched a great Youtube of the series summary through Halo 3 but this is kind of exciting. It makes me want to pick up Halo 3 now.
Agreed, definitively makes Halo more interesting/in depth. I love all the science fiction in Halo and its comparisons to real-life. Anyway, Can't wait for "it" to be done. Thanks X3F
Please keep in mind that the world does not revolve around you. I'm hoping that you are a fairly young person who doesn't understand yet that people are allowed to have differing views and like different things.
Halo is a pretty popular game (outside you're perfect world) and people tend to like it quite a bit. So, when there is a new announcement, it will get a lot of attention.
With regards to this Maddie thing, remember Mombasa is a spralling city how do you know that this load up screen isnt a objective screen for a trooper looking for someone or a relative perhaps, daughter/ambassador/wife? And mombasa cant be a warzone because Regrets ship left with the baddies, so there must something else lurking the streets surely?
That's a good theory diamondxp, perhaps the ODSTs are sent there to shut down the Superintendent, an AI with rampancy and neutralize an Covenant forces.
What if this is New Mombassa after Halo 3, and it has been rebuilt. And, on the planet Onyx Covenant forces have been slowly rebuilding. We never knew this because weve been looking for Chief and Cortanna.
Now, the Covenant is once again attacking Earth..but, one they see what a massive force we have they jump to slipspace again.
And the one in the final dropship is actually the Chief...Cortanna recieved through radio that Earth is under attack and led them back home.
Great Analysis, but lets go further. First though, lets assume Bungie spent more than a couple hours slapping some clips together. I bet anything they carefully edited EVERYTHING.
Oh, and these arent in any specific order. Hopefully that will get you to look at everything a second time.
1. The clip showing the dropping pods shows a very wide spread. Not normal for regular drops. Could indicate an original launch from much further. Also, how the pods were burning was not consistent with low orbit drops. (Maybe the windows and physical appearance could indicate a craft more worthy of space travel)
2. Google Traxus. Seriously, Google it. Then find it on one of the foreground buildings 7 seconds in.
3. The lines from our sup (AI) can be seen along the side of the display before the explosion. It has obviously been working alot lately.
4. Furthermore, look at the symbol in the upper right. It changes from open eyes, to squinty/questioning, to sad. Our AI is sad for the blast (obviously a slip jump, notice the EMP Trip on the bottom during the explosion), but probably not rampant.
5. When the AI is panning up to the pods, along the bottom the AI flashes "Threshold Triggered" "Auth. Inq." and "Auth. Neg." Those pods arent supposed to be there. At least according to our AI, who, in previous Bungie posts, seemed to be requesting help.
6. Whats with the quick clip of pod w/ the deploying chute? Thats not on a building, but its up in the air. Also, whats with the writing in the corner, only time we see "Maradara"
7. Most importantly, when the pods are falling, in the lower left, there is a statement: "Data leak on level 9!" It is right under "Activating subroutine: Vergil". Time to reply all Level 9's? I doubt it, although TU2 might have added something. The way I see it, this is a very important clue. Its flashed everywhere many times, most importantly right at the end under "Microsoft Studios." Its subtle, but important subtle.
Anyways, thats my 2 (thousand) cents. Any thoughts?

If you guys remember there was a video put out in halo 2 limited edition where it was taken place in New Mombasa with the osdt's and the marines. I think this might be the short video made into a game.
If you notice when the drop pods are coming into the city right before the explosion you see a zoomed in view of them. There just happens to be 16 flying off in a different direction from the rest. Maybe 16 member squad or maybe but very unlikely 16 player co-op which would be gods gift to man if it was lag free.
hey sweat analysis. u might hav already seen it but it just wasn't in the vid. at about 13 seconds into the halo 3- keep it clean trailer, bottom right hand corner, under the 16:11:13:06 or what ever it is, it says "SIERRA117 LOK LINK" obviously "SIERRA117" is the chief but i don't know wat 2 make of it? just throwing it out there.
