With the web positively on fire about the Keep It Clean teaser trailer released by Bungie this morning, we thought we'd give the video a once (and twice, and thrice) over and deliver to you our own analysis. This isn't some kind of lame picture analysis either. Nope, this here is one of them fancy video analysis ... um ... videos. Find out everything you need to know but are too busy to find out on your own by watching our detailed video analysis.

Has anyone noticed that exactly on 01:00 in the original trailer, theres a twisted picture, that is visible for just a few frames? I think it looks like "the oracle" but I have no idea what it actually is.. Does anyone have a theory about this?
They came here for something else then saving people, because at the beginnings (12 sec) You can read Pop : 0 ; Evac. Complete.
At 19 sec, you can read in bottom left "Activating Subroutine 'Vergil' "
At 35 sec, you can read "Yellow means Yield"
I can bet this gonna have something to do with the event that happens on Onyx. Onyx been destroyed, but the Forerunner infrastructure is still intact. And remember the mysterious disappear in Zone 67.
I think "maddie" is a cute nickname for master chief. Say it ould loud, "Maddie Cheif, where are you?" Especially considering how cute the little superintendent janitor thing bungie has been showing... you know, the little guy with the plunger!
Are we sure that this is an expansion and not an entirely new game? I know this would explain the extra achievement points in Halo 3, but assuming this is the rumored squad based shooter Bungie was working on when has an expansion changed the core gameplay so drastically. I would love to see an entirely new spin-off franchise starring the ODST's instead. That way the expansion taking care of those extra achievements in Halo 3 could still be that Arbiter side story I've been wanting.
You guys have to remember halo 3 takes it back to the new mombassa area. (When truth digs up the portal to the ark.) So the sup AI going bad wouldnt make sense, in my opinion
Could this have taken place during halo 2??? I mean when Regret fled mombasa with In Amber Clad in pursuit to delta halo, didn't the slipspace rupture blow the city. This could be directly after that. Is it possible the pods are from all the orbital installations and ships that were under attack in the begining of halo 2? This is a longshot, but could "maddie" be Miranda Keyes? I doubt there are any more spartans. This could be like a mission to mop up the rest of the covanent after Regret left.
I think it's worth noting that not only is that possible release date shown in the jumble of text, but also appears in the bottom right corner of the screen during the text "Prepare to", near the end. This is what you'll see there.
Can someone stop the video at 1:04, and focus on the first pod and give their opinion on what that is hanging from the end of the pod??? Haven't seen anyone talk about that. I have no idea what it is might be nothing or might be something.
why are so many people bitching over this video , i means who gives a shit weather your a spartan or an ODST , its another halo game , you should all be telling us how stoked you are instead of beng convinced that you are right and what you say is going to happen is . in my opinion this expansion is going to be as awesome as all the other halo games with or without mastercheif
Uhh, people wanna be Master Chief...Being an ODST would be like being a cat while playing The adventures of DOG. Sure being an ODST would add a new awesome view on Halo gaming but it wouldn't be as fun as being a mysterious super-human. I mean if you wanna die one hit like some human chump go play Call of Duty or some other gay game.
I didn't read through all the comments, cuz im lazy...but if you read the text on bungie.net prior to the release of this trailer...you'd see this [SMN.UNKNOWN]:[UNINTELLIGIBLE > INSUBORDINATION(?)] [SMN.ACTUAL]: “It may have passed us, Lieutenant, but it’s still in range.” [SMN.ACTUAL]: “Come about. And shoot it in the ass.”
And later, this: [SMN.ACTUAL]: “Didn’t think you S1 types ever left your cave.” [DARE.V.500341(S1)]: “Desperate times...”
S1 = First Generation Spartans. John, Kelly, Fred and the others were S2's...my guess? the new main character is one of the S1's hidden by the military...i don't recall if they were listed as dead by UNSC records...i believe that's somewhere in one of the books...but im guessing they arent dead...emphasis on "THEY" also emphasis on the previous quote “Didn’t think you S1 types ever left your cave.” S1 typeS...PLURAL...ill leave this to discussion
Okay so i know you pointed out the that it may be released on jan 6th.But after watching it a few times in frame by frame i noticed under the bungie at the end it says [supercondition:date:] 1117. Now i know that 1/06/09 is much more understandable but maybe something else is on november 17th. idk
On the close up of the drop ship, does anyone else think that the cloud resembles some sort of bird, specifically that of some form of military rank. I read the books, but I dont recall any real reference to anything regarding an eagle. I might just be diggin too deep however.
Don't know if it's been said, but I'm gonna call a squad based shooter with players taking the role as the Spartan Gray team. We already know that the next book is about Gray team. That would be a perfect way to set up this game/ expansion.
Furthermore, when it says 01/06/09 it's followed by "+221291." If this is calculated as seconds it comes out to 61.46972 hours. This is just over 2.5 days. That makes it 01/08/09, 8+9=17 → 01/17 → 117. It's a strech, I know, but perhaps worth noting.
