Valve's Steam service has a seriously sweet 50% off sale this weekend on its Rockstar games catalog. Both Max Payne titles are only $5 apiece ($7.49 for the set). Also, Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City are $5, while San Andreas is only $10.
Steam is also offering its whole Rockstar collection (10 games in all) for $30. Not every game in there is a classic (lookin' at you, Manhunt), but the price is certainly right for all the hours worth of gameplay in the package.

Wtf, Stranglehold is a terrible game, it's interesting for about the first level. No, just no.

Goddamnit it's not available in Australia. If Steam didn't have these stupid fucking limitations I would have had Witcher Enhanced a week ago :

trust me, it's not STEAM, they would love to sell you the game, it's the Publishers that put their games on STEAM that get to dictate pricing and availability.

I know that it's the Publishers choice, but it's still Steam. I'm buying and playing the games off that platform 'twas I meant.

Why would you buy it on ps2 and go to gamestop...?
Save gas, better controls, instant download, and mods = pc version ftw!

It isn't. Steam needs moar Aussie servers, we're missing out on quite a few games.

It's not servers, it's publishers. They see Steam as a method of making a quick buck off games they already own and have surpassed retail profit.
I don't know the specifics but they'd probably have to pay a fair bit to get the games available for Australia (bureaucracy, setting up taxes etc) and if it's not going to be a huge seller, or make a large profit per unit sold, they probably don't see it as worth it.
For instance, Ubisoft's entire catalogue (dozens of games) is available in the USA but not EU.

Yeh you know what, they'd have to pay to host their game data on *GASP* servers. Servers that are dedicated to Steam.
I'm starting to get annoyed by how people seem to look at a comment from the tiniest angle possible and go off that.

And most of Ubisofts games aren't available here in Australia either. I really wanted to buy Beyond Good And Evil too.

Shame the original GTA's aren't for sale individually (looks like they only come in the bundle). Might pick up Max Payne, tho'

No rockstar games AT ALL available in japan... sigh.
Also, no Beyond Good and Evil, and no Dark Messiah.
So thats loads of my money they've missed out on...

I got the Max Payne bundle. Never played these games, heard alot about them.
Although I'm having a problem with sound in Max Payne 1. It only seems to play certain audio. I get no audio in cutscenes, and in-game I can hear dialogue and footsteps, but yet no bullet sounds.
