Yeah he was pretty much right with that statement. I mean, have you seen the wii version of Animal Crossing? I honestly couldn't tell if it was the gamecube version or a new game until they went to the city...it was the exact same game in every way until then!

I'll buy it if the D-Pad doesn't suck. The original DS had an amazing D-Pad, the lite's is a piece of shit.

Agreed! I wish the DS Phat had the DS Lite's screen brightness but otherwise remained unchanged, then it would be perfect!

guys, adding to the comment trend, its very simple. The DS is the highest selling portable at this point in time. now there are people out there who love the psp and hate the DS, and there are many differences to both in approaches, but in any generation, whether 4 bit, 8, 16, 32, 64, 128 bit and etc, the highest selling machine is the machine most people want. is it the best machine in its generation? most people would say yes. now you may be a select group that proclaims themselves a gaming expert, and go outside the norm and proclaim other things. but the majority of people have voted with their wallets. you can bash all you want, but the DS is most successful. just like ps2 was in its era, even though being the most inferior graphic wise. now to say the DS is technologically inferior is i think a mistake. each portable has its strengths and weaknesses, its unique hardware characteristics. obviously touch screen in gaming is a big deal. tell me when anyone has implemented touch screen into video games successfully prior to nintendo. of course you can't. what people on this trend failed to mention is that nintendo had the balls to think outside the box, and they did, and it paid off for them. and they did it all over again on the wii. now whether you like it or not, whether its the iphone, or psp2, nintendo has set a new standard in video games, and all these devices thereafter will have touch screen to them. you will learn to like them whether you do or don't. to not acknowledge nintendo's contribution to the games industry is absolute hipocrisy. in this way, nintendo's user interface is light years beyond anything on psp. psp's user interface is not anymore advanced than the gba. so from a technological standpoint, technology wise the systems are a wash. the same goes for wii. people try to say motion sensing is not advanced tech, but i guarantee that xbox 100 and ps4 will have it. its a trendsetter. besides that's simplification at its best. the IR pointer, controller speaker are also trendsetters that competitors will copy and become standard on game machines.

Seriously, if you put all that effort into writing that wall of text, the least you could do is use the [Shift] and [Enter] keys now and then.

[tear in eye]

Exactly. And I'd love to hear the sony and MS people try to explain this one. Why everyone is now copying Nintendo, why people voted with their wallets and decided the Wii and DS were best for them.

Aren't they mulling over methods of getting 'gesture' based gaming using that eye Toy thing?

Oh, and cue a lot of angry people saying w-w-w-w-well sony and MS were working on it first!... so it just happens Nintendo have a time machine and released it first?

Good going Wii and DS. You've given me the most entertainment from any consoles ever. Keep it up.

Nintendo is rehashing old hardware, adding a few new features and double dipping again? The hell you say!

/sarcasm

I didn't buy a DS Lite and I'm not going to bother buying one of these because I will die with my DS fat in hand in case I need to beat someone to death with it. Nintendo can piss off with their "30 versions of hardware, each slightly different than the last" BS.

In my opinion the Nintendo DS, Apple iPhone and Sony PSP are all wonderful PDS's.

I don't think that we should argue which is better than the other because they are all good. I currently have a PSP and I am praying for another Nintendo DS. I had a blue original DS but then I lost it or rather left it behind by accident. Now I have a white DS Lite that does not work because it got wet while it was raining one night. By God's grace I hope to have another DS before the end of the year.

The Nintendo DS has far better games in my opinion than the PSP. The DS has a lot more RPG's while the PSP seems to at a lost for RPG's.

I'm thankful that the DS is at last getting an update. So far this should put it into serious competition with the iPhone at last.

I only hope that the new DS will still retain a reasonable and affordable price tag as we are in hard economic times.

BTW remember to vote for Obama my fellows.
